These kits are a little pricey on a per-cocktail basis, but I got a few as stocking stuffers, and the sub-$20 price is perfect for a Yankee Swap. People have tended to love getting them as gifts, especially for frequent travelers. For whatever reason, this Bloody Mary kit was a bit cheaper than the others at the time when I purchased it, although now it looks like the price has rebounded (from $15 up to $23). The plus of the Bloody Mary kit is that you can drink them on a morning flight too! In terms of the actual drink, the volume of the Bloody Mary mix certainly makes for a much smaller Bloody Mary than usual. The pickles are a neat little touch. The rimming salt is near useless though, IMO. It seems like it would make too much of a mess to try and apply it to a cup in-flight. You could just sprinkle a bit on top of the drink for flavor though. ... show more

I was really worried about ordering this product, especially after reading some of the reviews. However, when my kit came in everything was in perfect shape. The tin was not dented or scratched. Everything was tucked neatly inside the tin, including the napkin, in a small drawstring bag. This was a gift, so I cannot comment on the taste. The presentation is great. Although the price is a bit high, it is a fun treat to include in my travel themed gift basket. I would recommend this product and will likely be making future purchases for gifts. I was wary about buying this after all the negative reviews but there were some good ones too so I took a chance, and it paid off! I got mine super quickly. I got two of the bloody mary ones. They had little plastic bags they were in where the shipping label was placed so it didn't harm the packaging of the tins. I opened them both up and everything was nicely packed in the tin, in a little pouch. There was no leak and the bottles were clean and fine. The only reason I gave 4 stars for value is bc I didn't know that besides the mini vodkas you also have to buy cans of tomato juice, and the recipe doesn't say what size. But other than that, great gift! I'm excited to see how my aunts like it! ... show more

I should have thought it through. Obviously you can't buy alcohol online with no age verification. So this is a nifty idea that makes for a cute gift, but in no way is it practical. I'm not even sure I would call it useful. So it ends up just being a gag gift. If you have $15 to $25 to just splurge on a gift that is more for laughs and looks than it is for actual use, then by all means it is a good conversation piece. ... show more
