  • The best vinyl I've used yet!
Size: 50ft x 5ft
I really love this vinyl. I did this job myself and it came out amazing. Here are day time and night time results. Thank you! I went with the Satin Black!

  • Not a first timer Vinyl for cars!!
Size: 50ft x 5ft
My daughter and I decided we would try and father/daughter project and change the color of a car I am turning over to her for college. We bought about 70x5 feet of Satin Black and tried it first on the hood of a Hyundai Santa Fe. A hood seemed relatively flat and an easy piece to start working on. This was our first effort ever at vinyl wrapping, so I understand we are amateurs, but we had watched a few hours of YouTube videos and thought we knew what to expect, even if our results would not end up professional. Firstly, there were no instructions that came with the material. I am 230 pounds, and after we laid the vinyl onto the car with the backing removed, we immediately found that the material adhered to the hood with ferocity. Grabbing with both hands and throwing my weight into the pull still only brough up 12 inches or so and this made repositioning and trying to "get glass" nearly impossible. We later tried doing the same thing with water on the hood, and while this made it slightly easier, the process was strenuous and very difficult. My daughter and I attempted for about three hours to get the vinyl to look smooth, and succeeded in some areas, but removing bubbles was excruciating and largely unsuccessful. Squeegeeing simply couldn't move trapped air, and as lifting the vinyl to allow air to escape was so hard, the process was time consuming and very unsuccessful. Because of the hood experience, we will delay working on the remainder of the color change until we can find out what we are doing wrong, or until we find a vinyl that is far easier to remove and reposition. If you are very experienced with vinyl, or are covering something with less rounded or oddly shaped contours than a car, this is a heavy, sturdy looking material that may work well. However if you are a dad with a 19 year old daughter trying their hand at wrapping for the first time (or a newbie of any form), there must be more forgiving wraps to work with, even if they are a bit more expensive. If my daughter and I find a method to better apply and reposition this vinyl, we will update the review and perhaps rescore. ... show more
