Applied to the exterior of my windows - it's much easier that way and won't screw up your tint if you ever decide to remove it. Patience and forethought are the keys to installation - it's about as difficult as working with regular vinyl wrap. If you have wrinkles in the vinyl from shipping, just hit that area with low heat from a heat gun after the backing paper is removed, before laying it down, and the vinyl will smooth out. Any darkness is legal on the back windows of trucks, vans, and SUVs in my state. It looks good, and you absolutely cannot see into the windows unless you put your face right onto the glass. -Update after a rainfall 3 days later ... I changed my 3 star to 1 as this is clearly low quality material. Water coagulates in the perforations during a rain storm and obstructs the view out unlike higher quality materials. Reading reviews (after the fact) it rips and stretches easy (not good). I have some prior wrap experience so I just refreshed my memory after I remove my prior window wrap on my van prior to this install. It comes prepackaged with creases in the adhesive liner to the film...(didn't help). I used the hinge method I've used in the past. If not for ALOT of patience with my heat gun...this would've been an even larger disaster than it is. Oh and I can still see in from outside. Maybe that's because my prior wrap had color and graphics which blocked nearly all outside visibility. ... show more

    • Used to stop vinyl siding from melting from sun glare.

My siding was being melted from the sun glare off my window. Previous owner blamed it on his wife getting the grill too close. I discovered it was the sun reflecting off the window. I found the same product being offered on other websites for an astronomical amount of money. Found out it was this exact product and only a small piece. Very easy to install and works great. I now have enough to do about 30 windows for less money than other companies wanted for one. Now the wife wants me to do all of the windows because she likes the way it looks. ... show more
