  • At first I hated this lousy product
Size: 5ft x 5ft
I gotta say this product has been an emotional roller coaster. I originally bought it with the intention of covering the hood of my '09 Subaru WRX. Shortly after ordering, I discovered this product wasn't intended for outdoor use. I decided I should practice my hand at vinyl wrapping on small interior parts before tackling major body panels. At first I hated this lousy product. I couldn't get it to form to anything outside of a flat plane. First off, clean the surface panel you want to cover. Step 2, remove the adhesive backing and gently lay the vinyl on what you plan to cover. Step 3 peel off that stupid clear coat I thought belonged with this covering but will drive you mad trying to get it to seal down to the base layer. Use your heat gun and gently warm the wrap till it starts flexing all over the surface you want to wrap. This will take the patience of Christ but in time you'll figure out the correct technique. Stick with it and I think you'll be very pleased with the final result. ... show more

  • Disappointing
Size: 1.5ft x 5ft
I am very disappointed in this product. Not only is it not sticky enough to stay in place before heating, but it's impossible to get it to properly cling to any curve or edge. If you actually get curved area to stick, it will fall away as soon as it's cooled or reheated. I have no clue how these other customers got their product to look so nice. To top it off, the material leaves the worst burning chemical smell even after a few days, it just gets worse as time goes on and I got so nauseous that I had to stop driving and rip this out of my car. At least the design of the material was nice for the 3 days it stayed in my car. ... show more

  • Not recommended for highly detailed/technical applications.
Size: 1.5ft x 5ft
I cannot recommend this product. It has a nice look to it on the surface, but there are two major issues I have with it: Firstly, The material is too thick for highly technical applications, (trim with many sharp angles and/or details). It will not lay down and stay down fully into corners or around sharp bends, even after thorough heat massaging and stretching. It is also too thick to be used on any panels with tight fitting switches and/or buttons, as it will cause the switches to stick due to decreased clearance. The second and perhaps even more alarming issue I experienced with this product is the large dark spots that suddenly appeared in the finish of several of my pieces over night. I have no idea what the cause of this is, why or how it happened, as I made sure to thoroughly clean and prep all of my pieces and apply the film as recommended by the manufacturer. This is not acceptable and will necessitate the removal of the film from all of the affected pieces. On the positive side, the product does work well and looks good on simple, flat surfaces that don’t contain many details, angles or curves, though you’ll just need to pray that the dark spots don’t show up. I had actually ordered a second roll of this film due to having run out of the first before being able to finish the trim in my Nissan 350Z, but after discovering the dark spots and already having been frustrated with the incompatibility with the Z’s many technical panels, I have decided to scrap this film altogether. I will be returning the new roll and removing the first from my car entirely. I’m simply way too picky for the fit and finish that this product offers. ... show more

  • Not impressed.
Size: 2.5ft x 5ft
First off I would like to say i originally looked at a different size and changed to the 2.5x5 ft roll and didnt realize it was INTERIOR film. When i checked the first size it said use for automotive application interior or exterior. The 2.5x5 was strictly interior and i bought this with intention of wrapping my 07 civic hood with a bad finish, first off the clear coat over the top that is glossy peeled off after another piece of vinyl touched it and it was not the clear protective layer that came on it, it was the clear layer that makes the film look glossy. Second dont even bother trying to do this by yourself. My car has probably one of the most simple hoods on it and this vinyl would not lay down right to save my life, people say to pull and stretch well i wouldnt recommend doing that without an extra set of hands or 2 because it will just put creases in the vinyl and theyre damn near impossible to smooth out. I used a heat gun and spent HOURS trying to move air bubbles and creases out only to find out that i could not fix any of the issues on the finish....i might as well just have crumpled up a $50 bill and thrown it in the trash because thats where the vinyl ended up. Just going to sand and paint it black because i know paint works and is 10x easier to do. ... show more

  • I love it!
Size: 1.5ft x 5ft
This what my first attempt and wrapping, and this wrap made life much easier. It is easy to manipulate when heated and can be re adjusted a ton before being heated without ruining the adhesive. Like I said this was my first time so the shifter cover came out subpar but the other trim pieces look gorgeous in this glossy carbon fiber! Enjoy the photos, would and probably will buy again! Side note: the company reached out before I received my order giving tips on applying the vinyl and this was a huge help! ... show more

  • not the best quality
i have been working with wrap material for the last 5-6 years, now owning my own print/wrap company, we only use 3m or avery materials because they are proven over and over that they are the industry leading brands, a customer was requesting gloss Carbon look, after receiving the item and opening the box i was very surprised with how well it looked, but after starting the install i was quickly reminded how good the top brands are, the gloss on this stuff comes off like it is meant to be just a shipping protection layer, maybe it is? but once it comes off it looks matte and just as bad as the other carbons out there, only this stuff isn't as aggressive and most of the edges will begin to lift in a short amount of time. if you are able to keep this (gloss layer) without it coming up on install, the sun will be sure to remove it for you in a slow fashion. FML very disappointed.... ... show more
