The fabric is not too thick, not too thin, just perfect. If you’re wondering if it is more like the very very thin UPF material, it is not. It is more substantial. The front zipper could be better, as it is a small plastic zipper. Pocket zippers are decent quality. I feel I got my money’s worth. It ran true to size on me with the sleeve slightly long. This zipper jacket really feels nice on. It's made with a heavy, breathable material and feels good to the touch. It's a slim fit which I love for athletic jackets. My usual size fits perfectly. I got this in red. I can say to me the red is more of a punch red instead of a true red. It's still a pretty red though. The zipper is heavy duty and the pockets are sewn in a way that it has the inside long pocket as well, another plus for me. I'll definitely look into buying other colors in this.
