to preface, im writing this upon receiving and haven’t used it yet. i’m going on a multi-week trip in which i’ll be using a sleeping bag and thought this would be easier to clean. the material is very synthetic, but i don’t have super sensitive skin and sometimes prefer rougher fabrics. imagine men’s gym shorts. no defects upon first glance. way bigger than i expected. bed is a double for reference. it will either be very breathable or very insulating. will maybe update after the trip. ... show more

    • Nice Liner to Protect you from sheets at Hotels

Nice quality, very soft and silky. Felt good. Looked good. Lightweight so it does not stay put as it moves with your body. It is only a Liner so do not expect big thermal qualities. But it is warm like a light sheet. I used in my house within my Coleman sleeping bag and it served its purpose. Now it did make me perspire inside that bag. Not much. My only real complaint was its zipper. Easy to zip up but in the morning, it snagged and would not zip down. After sliding out its top I finally made the zipper work and it went down. Not good for sleeping outside when Critters are trying to eat you. So I think its best use is at home or at a hotel or a low critter environment such as a beach. All in all it met its purpose to basic line the bag and keep it clean and to somewhat reduce moisture. BUT all bags should be fully unzipped and allowed to air out and dry each day. Liner was affordable. Recommend it as stated. Would I buy again? No for personal reasons. I camp in dangerous mountains with my rifle. Zippers always annoy me! ... show more

I had to return it because I’m a big guy (250p) and it was a bit tight for me. If not because of that, I’d have kept it as the quality seemed alright too me. If you’re curious, I ended up buying a Browint silk/cotton blend which is slightly thinner (the material/cloth), but is way larger.

    • Budget lightweight multi functional/ use liner

First impressions & plan of use A budget light weight solution to add warmth to ur existing gear for cold weather backpacking, camping, car camping. U can use it as a liner inside any bag which should increase rating minimum +5°. U can also stuff ur bag inside the liner that'll help keep ur down/ hybrid bag closer to ur body eliminating air gaps & help stop warm air from escaping, I'd think u gain more than 5° this way. During warmer temps u can use by itself or w a lightweight bag/ quilt. It has an envelope style pocket that can fit a standard pillow helping it stay in place under ur head vs slipping away throughout the night, for those who car camp/ camp next to vehicle. As a pack rat I'm not sure how I'd use it on trail in summer. During summer months i generally stuff the brain of my pack w my puffy jacket then in the cooler/ colder months I stuff w jacket, extra ultralight sm down quilt or clothes if I'm using quilt & puffy in extreme cold. I bought a new rectangular down quilt to pair from shopgogear.com. between the liner & quilt is only around 16 oz (per mfg) which is great for summer backpacking or to add to ur winter bed system. I have a hike planned for beginning of Feb where I'll spend 2 nights in car & 3-4 nights on trail w current forecasted night temps range 28-43°F. I'll take some pictures at that time & update my review PROS 1) it's inexpensive 2) lightweight 3) multi functional/ uses CONS Zipper: 1) it's a heavy zipper for material & lighter weight one could reduce few grams for those seeking ultralight gear 2) Need to be careful u don't get it caught in material Con for some Hem/ stitching is sloppy (my mom would had made me rip it out & start over). There r placed where the fabric rolled & made tiny pleat after stitched. Stitching isn't even, backstitch sloppy. U need to trim all the ends prior to use so the threads don't get caught in zipper. With that said, it does not affect anything & is truly no big deal to me. I've spent allot of money (too much) on high quality labels which also needed threads trimmed. Now, if this would of cost >$80 vs the $20 I would complain. Just thought I'd mention it for some of the population out there... ... show more
