The bar (i think its called) came off the string the first time it was pulled, but it was a nusence in the first place I saw the one at the nursery at church didn't have one either. But thats where I first saw this catapiller when my 8 month played with it smiling. I got this for my 1 yr old grandson. He loves toys with sounds and lights. He likes this one because he can pull it around with him. The only problem is the string is too short. I had to add another piece to it to make it longer or you can’t really reach the music keys very well. My grandson started to get really frustrated with it and wasn’t able to fully experience how to use it until I made the string longer. Now he can reach all of the keys without the toy moving around. The volume could be a little higher but for the price I paid I won’t complain too much. I’ll let should hold up pretty well until he’s too old to play with it. ... show more

I have a 6 month old and came across this toy when I typed in “6 month old toys” it’s actually for age 1 and older I think so it sucked cause I’m a FTM and didn’t notice this. I still kept it and try to use it. Overall it’s a cute idea.

    • Great little toy for SPD kids
This toy is so cute, my daughter who has sensory processing disorder is enthralled with it and loves to watch it light up right along w/the songs. There’s 3 different settings, one is freestyle play, the second is following along note by note and the third is following basic nursery rhymes one key at a time. The little caterpillar goes woo hoo! And lights up every time she gets it right and she gets so excited and loves it. But the best part is the 2 different settings for volume control, so depending where you are you can adjust to make it quieter or louder. Definitely worth it IMO and entertaining for kids up to 2 ... show more

Great interactive toy my 11 month old grandson can grow into. Great color, sounds, and interactive options to play with. I do wish I had an actual off switch that instantly turns off. The drum stick is nicely made, safe, and doubles as a teether.
