I honestly didn't know if I was going to keep this, because I think he was around 18 months and assumed he might not be that into it for some reason, but just opened it and put it on the table and so glad I did. He somehow figured out where the on switch was by himself and started dancing and drumming! :) I haven't seen this from him too much before so I was beaming. He smiles still when he plays this and shows off to his aunt and grandparents. It maybe for a few minutes, due to the short attention span, but with most parents/family, when they smile you smile!!! I love that this is so cheap. It was a little smaller than I anticipated but that didn't change how much fun my nephew has playing this. It's not so loud that it's annoying but not so quiet that he gets bored of it. I wouldn't let a toddler who is just learning to walk play with drum sticks though. Those are potentially dangerous but you can easily just put them up. The drums will still make noise if your use your fingers or hands. I'd say it's 9/10 in terms of safety. ... show more

my sons loves all the different beats and sounds this toy makes. at first he chewed on the drum sticks more than playing the drums since they are rubber but now hits the drums a lot and hums to the music. Do be cautious of kids putting the drum sticks in their mouths and walking around

We purchased this for my nephew's coming first birthday. It shipped quickly, and it looks really cute. I hope it holds up to the wear and tear of a toddler. Unfortunately, I can't answer a rating for all of the features. I might be adding it to our Christmas list for my youngest, though!
