I purchased these for the purpose of wearing them on a long motorcycle roadtrip from Ohio to South Dakota / Wyoming (Sturgis). The boots look great and are very comfortable once broken in. I’m typically a 8.5W, but since these don’t come in W, Amazon suggested a 9 and they feel just fine. After daily use during travel for 2 weeks, the quality seems to be pretty solid so far. The BIGGEST (and really the only) disappointment I have is that these were advertised as waterproof. During a 2 week motorcycle trip, I knew I would come across some wet weather and wanted something waterproof so my feet would stay dry. I drove through a rainstorm on my 1st day on the road. These are NOT waterproof!!! I had to dry them using the hand dryers at a rest stop restroom! Despite this, I think it’s definitely worth the $50 I paid. ... show more

Gave them 5 stars because they're nice looking and comfortable at a $45 price tag. These boots feel a little lightweight and may not last long but replacing them frequently will be less painful at that price.

Great casual boots for a lot of walking providing you change the the soles to a thicker foam to 3/16" plus. Spending long hours (8-12) on my feet on the job not requiring steel toes these boots have done justice and lasted me 11 months until the inner stitching(bunion area) became obsolete. Adding oil to the leather once a week will keep the material in shape. Highly not recommend for industrial work enviroment or off trail hiking although details indicate "hiking." When I first laid eyes on the Vostey Men’s Hiking Boots, I was immediately captivated by their rugged aesthetic. The robust design, emphasized by the waterproof feature and the unique pattern on the sole, looked like it promised an adventure. But as we all know, appearances can be deceptive. To give you a more comprehensive view, my relationship with these boots is complicated. For someone who’s an avid hiker, my expectations for performance, comfort, and durability are set fairly high. While the boots performed reasonably well in some aspects, they did leave room for improvement in others, making them a mixed bag. 🥾 Aesthetic Appeal: Looks to Impress but Not to Last The Vostey hiking boots are undoubtedly stylish. The first time you put them on, you’ll feel ready to conquer not just mountains but even casual social outings. However, the aesthetic quality comes with a caveat: durability. After a few hikes, the material started to show signs of wear, and the color began to fade slightly. For boots designed for the rough terrains, this is somewhat disappointing. 🌧️ Waterproofing: More Like Water-Resistant One of the main features that drew me to these boots was the promise of waterproofing. While they did keep my feet dry in light rain, they were not able to hold up under more severe wet conditions.
