  • Best Budget Soundbar Hands Down
150?! How? The packaging was perfect, instructions were easy to read and they gave me more than enough cabling to complete the job or mount the unit (bracket, screws and wall template). I've spent 3-4 times as much on similar units from Sony and others and I'm kicking myself because this unit sounds just as good if not better. For my 20' x 14' Family room, the bass is deep and booming and adjustable depending on the source I feed it. So far, no audio sync issues with any sources or streaming apps. The Bluetooth cracked a few times when I was about 10 feet away, but I'm not sure that was a problem with the unit, but rather the stream or interference. Otherwise, syncing took about 30 seconds from my iPhone and Spotify was up and running and sounding VERY full a spacious. Some tracks sounded a bit "bright" but I've grown to expect this from any and all digital formats regardless of what I'm listening to, or listening to it on. Speech is clear, mids are snappy and the bass unit (placed next to my couch) rumbles a good part of my sectional at mid-way turned up. I won't dock it a star, but a small LCD screen with basic information might have been nice to include on the unit, but for the cost its not noticeable. Ohh, another nice thing is when you turn on the TV and the Optical cable sends a signal to the speaker, it automatically turns on the unit. It synced perfectly to my DirecTV Remote and was found with the codes built into the DTV service. Overall, with about 8 hours of listening time, I can confirm you wont find a better unit for the price. Had I paid $400 for the speaker, I'd still feel I had gotten a great deal. ... show more

  • Snap, Crackle, Pop...okay just crackle
So I'll start by saying the sound on these is great! We actually ordered two, however mine in particular had a rough transportation and the box arrived pretty mangled. I checked the contents and things seemed okay except for a small dent on the right side (how hard did it hit I wondered). Within a few days I started to notice a crackle from the right side of the sound bar. I had it connected directly to a PS4 Pro then the TV via optical cable. I figured it was related to the transportation issue, so swapped it out for another. Several days later the other unit in the house ALSO started having a crackle coming from the right side of the sound bar. Coincidence? I checked some reviews and was seeing the same thing. Needless to say the replacement also started having this issue within days so I had the pleasure of showing up to the UPS store with 3 of these to send back. I'm going to replace it with the D6 in the hopes that whatever manufacturing problem that was causing this has since been addressed. ... show more

Was fine until 10 months in and then it just went dead, would not power up. Contacted VIZIO support and they explained that it had been sold to Sam's Club ~6 months before my purchase on Amazon so all warranties are voided. This was not stated anywhere when I purchased unit. Third party reseller on Amazon "Best Deals you deserve" won't reply to my warranty requests. I guess I am out of luck here. ... show more

  • I know its tempting, but look elsewhere...
I bought this system to pair with my Vizio Chromecast, but first I read 40 reviews (good and bad) before buying. I saw some reviews speaking of terrible shipping handling, sound bars not working at all and some stopped working after a few months to a year of use. There was an overwhelming amount of positive reviews. However, there was one consistent criticism I've seen. The sound bar has a reputation for crackling from certain frequencies. Subwoofer sounds fine, fairly punchy and accurate. But the sound bar is interesting. When I installed mine it was working just fine, sounded great. But after a few short hours I heard it. The crackling. This thing ever so faintly will crackle randomly. Sometimes turning it off and on works. Sometimes unplugging it and waiting and plugging it back in makes it go away for a while. But it just crackles randomly... I don't understand how Vizio let this through any quality checks. So should you buy it? No. I dont think this product is good enough even at this cheap a price point. People who buy something this cheap most likely arent looking for top notch sound and earth shattering bass. People who buy this just want something better than TV speakers. Something to provide a little more bass and clarity. I can't see this speaker being worth the endless bothersome crackling. Stay away from this one, I'd spend a little more dough on something with higher quality. ... show more

  • Snap, crackle, and pop
Has with many other reviewers for this product I experience frequent crackling from the right speaker. This started happening fairly soon after receiving the unit. I should have returned it then, but I didn't. It was intermittent and even seemed to go away after a while. But now it is back and it seems to happen more frequently. I would skip this product. ... show more

  • Good product, but don't last long
Good product, but don't last long. I really enjoyed the subwoofer for the first 8 months of having this product. After 8 months everything started breaking down, At first I didn't think much of it, but recently I tried to contact Vizio to get them to fix the subwoofer and they told me sorry we don't have a repair center, Good luck. I was shocked that a company like Vizio couldn't support their own products after hearing about malfunctions. Nonetheless, I will never buy anything Vizio again. I currently have two Vizio TV's and the soundbar. which I'm regretting already. TWO STARS for Good sound quality when functioning THAT'S IT..... ... show more
