Vivosun impresses me once again. Paid over 400 dollars in 2013 for something similar from sun systems which had shaded and overly bright spots, and this reflector is very even on light spread. My wife wants another after seeing it up and working. No interference from ballast at all. Maybe those complaining of that didn't install it properly. Put rubber tabs on base and secured up high on the wall. Will go to a Ushio bulb several months from now, but will maximize this bulb which is pretty good. My light meter shows almost 95,000 lumens at 1 ft which is quite good. Kudos once again to Vivosun. Their $19 PH-EC-PPM meter set is great as well. Vivosun is now my go-to company for growing accessories and equipment. update 9-8-20 twice now they have shipped this in a vivosun box. Not cool. We have cultivation cards, but anyone in any mail hub can see our address and rip us off when we are gone. Or if they are anti medical, drop our box.. Vivosun, please ship all your stuff in amazon boxes. Very leery now to buy from them again. Very unhappy. update 9-17-20- i see now they are shipping in amazon box which wasn't an option when i bought mine. Thanks vivsun. i will buy another one soon. update 10-6-20: better have silicone or packing tape to seal the heat in. Rubber gaskets aren't cut to proper size so there are gaps for the hot air to escape and the body of the reflector has gaps as well. I used packing tape to make it easier to change future bulbs. Do not buy Vivosun duct as it has a million pin holes in the super thin aluminum foil. Losing faith in Chinese Vivosun company. Build in America Vivosun!!! i will pay more for the better quality. ... show more

Having dealt with lights like this for many years, I can say this is a good product. Having no issues, works as promised, doesn't generate too much heat.

    • Extreme electrical/radio noise
These lights are worth it for the price (good value for money), but the ballasts emit a huge amount of electrical noise. Any time I am listening to audio from an electronic device that is plugged into the wall power anywhere in the house, noise coming through the mains from the ballasts creates a constant hissing and buzzing. If a device is running on battery, the noise goes away, unless I'm in the same room as the ballasts or just outside the wall, in which case the hissing and buzzing is audible from the EM emissions. ... show more

600 watt enclosed light showed up with broken glass.... will update with customer service reviews Update: Was sent a replacement at no cost in about a weeks time. Light is decent for the price, but the ballast is very loud, more sore than most other digital ballasts. Bulb seem mediocre at best, definitely a budget light. ... show more

I ordered three lights and everything was fine other than everything is packed inside the light. So with that being said one of the pieces of glass is broken and was hoping to get a new piece of glass.

I’ve been trying to get the hang of growing indoors since it was legalized, using bestva LED lights, had everything growing great, great potency and healthy plants, but never more than a quarter ounce yield per plant.     • Dimmer switch defective
I recently received a 600W HPS/MH air-cooled reflector light system from Amazon Warehouse. The dimmer switch doesn't stop at the specified settings, but rather "free spins." The light does seem to work, but I'm not sure what setting it is on because the pointer on the knob goes outside the range of the settings. I read in the reviews there someone else had a similar problem, but emails to Vivosun customer service are bouncing. Is this a known issue? Any workarounds? I don't really need the dimmer (though that would be nice), so much as I want to be sure I'm getting the full 600W of lighting. I don't want to take the time or energy to return the light and I wanted to find out if the problem can be easily fixed before leaving such a negative review on Amazon, but I can't find contact information for the seller. ... show more
