Bought a used charcoal filter and needed a prefilter for it. This is high quality and affordable and I feel, necessary for proper operation of the system. Will buy again when needed. It doesn’t impair air flow and is easy to install and maintain.

These fit snugly but weren’t hard to put on. They work like any other pre-filter by collecting hair, etc from the surrounding air. They should be changed every so often.
