I purchased this canopy for my porch door that faces to the west and gets the extreme Texas heat of the day but mainlyto stop the rain from coming throught the door. So far it's been holding up to some heavy thunderstorms with up to 60 miles an hour wind gusts and tho not completely kept the rain from getting on the porch. Install was pretty easy with 2 people. Very happy with the purchase so far. Would recommend.

Mounted on a wooden shingle house. I drilled some holes in the strong braces and used long wood screws with thick washers. On very sturdy and has been through windy days without issue. I put it together on a flat clean deck and it worked out ok. I like the look and the protection over my porch door.

It's a very nice looking canopy for our kitchen windows! The size was perfect for our two windows close together. Cuts down on the morning sun and was way cheaper than building supply stores around here. As for ease of installation and assembly you better have a good understanding of putting puzzles together. I did it by myself with a ground assist from my wife. I would recommend having up on the ladder help as it was shakey at times. Also they recommend not installing on wood sided houses which I didn't notice until I was reading directions. I used large lag screws which luckily hit wall studs to hopefully hold it. Otherwise it's been a good product so far.

Definitely not meant for vinyl siding, the included bracket bolts are not sufficient to hold had to buy sturdy bolts
