I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this. When the box arrived I was even more skeptical. The entire thing is plastic. Ok, no big deal...let me assemble it and see what I think. Directions were pretty clear. Assembly for 1 guy who is pretty handy proved to be a challenge. Especially with the flimsyness of the product...until it's all together and hung it flaps around like a couple of chicken wings! Once I had it all together hanging was IMPOSSIBLE 1 man. The directions even say get help when hanging. I needed 3 people for the 10 foot awning. A little hint...use so.e sort of adhesive when assembling. I used clear silicone caulk. This seems to help make it sturdier. Not that it is hung it seems like it will last for quite some time for the price paid. It was put over a small paver pad I made for my grills and it works perfect for that. I've even cooked in the rain since installing it. ... show more

These are amazing. I wanted to wait to review them till I’ve had them through all the seasons. We just had 8” of snow and 50 mph winds and they’re still going strong a year + later. I would highly recommend these to anyone. My only beef is I wished they came a little bigger.

We have a side yard with concrete drive that's fenced at the front and back, so we decided to store our family bikes (6 of them) on the side of our house with a bike mount to keep them secure yet out of sight from the front/back yards. The bike mount worked great, and we purchased this awning as protection from sun glare and weather. First off, the poly plates were dented here and there, and the brackets were scratched in places in a way that made it seem that they had been previously used. The screws that come with the product don't fit, specifically the ones that secure from the front -- they're too short! The ones that fasten at each end work fine. The supports are plastic, so time will tell how they hold up. We decided to secure the poly plates into each bracket with silicone, which after curing, seems to work great. We had no problems mounting it into brick using the provided hardware. Today is the first snow it's had to endure, so we'll see how it does. Overall I'm pretty disappointed in the quality of hardware/packaging from this supplier, and I would recommend ordering a similar product elsewhere. The price wasn't exorbitant, so putting it to work right away outweighed the hassle of sending it back. ... show more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this canopy - I knew that it was made of plastic and light weight materials but for the price I was willing to give it a try because I loved the way it looked in the example photos. I was even more skeptical when it arrived and I could lift the big box it came in with one hand... there was no way this thing was going to stand up to Kansas winds. Fast forward several months and several spring storms later and it is still standing sturdy! I have not seen any "wobbling or shaking" during high winds to make me think it's going to blow off, so count me as impressed. The only negative I came across were the "expansion bolts" that are provided to anchor the arms to the building. My house is clad in cement hardy board and these bolts just kept spinning their wheels and never secured themselves. It's quite possible I didn't install them properly, but I consider myself quite handy and have use many different types of anchor bolts in the past - I finally decided to throw them to the side and go pick up some lag bolts from the local hardware store....MUCH easier and more secure! Highly recommend having 2 people to install - can be a little awkward until secured, especially with just the slightest breeze. Definitely would buy again - great value for the money! ... show more

Cheapest, most flimsy PILE ever. Screws are too short. Lags for the bracket mounts do not bite or hold, they merely spin. Had to drill numerous additional holes and use my own hardware to hold it together and mount it securely. I have no confidence that it will hold up to any sort of wind or snowfall,, but I mounted it anyway. Directions are minimal, giving no specifics on what size holes to drill for the wall hardware, etc. I ended up using zero of the supplied hardware and spending half a day to install something that should have been done in half an hour. I was hesitant to commit to having any faith in this/ these awnings ( I bought 2), after all ...they are made of light weight plastic. I figured if I got one season out of them I would have gotten my moneys worth. Well, freak Tornado rolls through Cape Cod this summer, my awnings survived ! Shocked, no damage, no problems with them at all, they stayed secure over my window and front door ! The real test will be this winter as the solar panels on my roof have a tendancy to have melting snow avalanche onto my front door steps ! Keep you posted with that ! So far, yes I guess I would recommend these !! No buyers remorse here ! ... show more

Bad mistake! Cheap, haven’t been able to get pieces to stay together. Have th get different screws, drill holes and use some sort of glue, but I will try again - already paid for and would be too difficult to return. You will have to create a template for drilling the mounting holes, they should have a printed template on the box. ... show more
