  • I opted to return my pair, here’s why
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
I’m just getting into barefoot athletic shoes. What I saw a lot of online is that the Vivo Primus Lite 3 is THE barefoot running shoe: comfortable, stylish, premium. I decided to try it but was immediately pretty disappointed. They didn’t fit the shape of my foot very well and the material felt way too thin, like one wrong move and they’d rip or get a hole. I liked the look quite a lot but saw no future with them functionally. I’m giving 5 stars because my choice to return them is based purely on my own lack of compatibility with the product. Maybe you’d feel the opposite about them. Still glad I tried the shoe. ... show more

  • Comfortable and good quality
Size: 9 Wide Color: Obsidian
The size fit well, very comfortable though a bit on the pricey side for what you get

  • Don't be fooled by the spacious toe area
Size: 9 Wide Color: Obsidian
You might get these in your exact size and think they are too big but give them at least a day or two. They have a wide toebox with slight room for the lengthening of your foot as you walk/run, so they might seem a bit big but actually they are just right. We are just not used to having room to wiggle and move our toes in a shoe. Go easy if you're a first timer with zero-drop shoes, they will hurt your calves and cause your foot to work more which in the long run is good for strengthening your feet and balance. The provided supports are very thin and the letters stating "RECYCLED" will rub off after a week or so. After using them for a month now, mine just say "ED". The laces are fat and don't have much friction so they come undone over time. I love these shoes and can't imagine ever going to a name-brand padded shoe ever again. I plan to get their more dressy and also cold weather versions. ... show more

  • They are okay
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
Fit is good if you go a size down. They appearance is as expected. Slim and black, but a little long looking. I enjoy zero drops so they are comfortable to me but you feel the pavement and every rock. Durability is hard to say in only a few weeks time. They are made from recycled materials and practically weight nothing. They are like wrapping your foot in fabric. That all being said the cost is too high for what you get. Thin recycled rubber shouldnt be over $100. ... show more

  • Poor in Build Quality and Quality Control; Bad experience in delivery too
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
The shoes arrived with the stitching coming apart!!! (strong indicator of a Quality and QC problem with Vivo barefoot, dirt in the sole (indicating that someone is bouncing around product to and from purchasers without doing any actual inspection and follow-up or the delivery is being exceptionally poorly treated), and for a +$170 shoe, the original packaging should be included (probably someone stealing high end product packaging). I am a huge Vivobarefoot fan. I bought my first pair of Primus Lite III more than a year ago and they (the first pair) are going strong, no issues with anything but tread wear. Given that I do everything in them, to include off-road trail running, use as a water shoe, and they go to the gym with me everyday I expected another great invincible product. Arriving with the stitches coming apart!? Unacceptable. I'm willing to bet that their build materials, quality and quality control have been compromised and with an increase in price. I tried them on and they absolutely "feel" different, less flexible, harder, more "plastic" vs leather "feel". comparing them with my pair I bought more than a year ago. I would consider other minimalist shoes, especially at the over $170 price range. ... show more

  • Favorite barefoot shoes hands down!
Size: 7 Wide Color: Obsidian
This is my 3rd pair of primos lites, they're my favorite shoe! Can be hard to get used to if you’re going from shoes with lots of support into these- feet need to get strong before they’re comfortable wearing for long periods of time. But 4 years into my barefoot journey, I can’t go back to arch support, it’s too comfortable letting my feet be free! ... show more

  • Thin and grippy!
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
I believe the Primus-Lite barefoot trainer is the best barefoot shoe on the market, because it is thin but very grippy! When the tread on my old pair started to get thin after two years, my feet started to feel sore at the end of the work day -- so I just bought some new leather insoles, stuck them in my old shoes, and that took care of the problem. These Primus-Lite sneakers seem to last 3 times longer than other brands! ... show more

  • Well made shoes with quality you can feel
Size: 8 Wide Color: Obsidian
First set of Vivo Barefoot shoes, and first set of minimalist shoes in over a decade. Seems brands such as Vivo Barefoot have got the pattern and product right. The fit was incredibly good (used the scan fit feature on the Vivo website), and the materials and construction are superb. The wide toe box, zero drop flexible sole, and lacing system just work well on my feet and feels simply natural. Walking and running in this shoe is a fantastic experience, however I do caution that one must start off slow or have already made the barefoot transition previously. I had been already walking/running/training with zero drop shoes from the likes of Altra and Topo Athletic in the past year, so the barefoot progression was not overly hard. Not to mention being barefoot at/in the home for all my life. Anyway, Vivo Barefoot shoes are not inexpensive, however they are well made and I am hopeful they will prove their value over the next few years with durability and reliability. Amazon has better prices than the direct website and presumably a bit quicker shipping. Would be better if Amazon offered more of the Vivo Barefoot styles selections for men, women, and children. ... show more
