The tray was a little difficult to put together, some of the screw holes were not properly machined, so I had to force them in. Once everything was installed, I had to re adjust the clamps to get the shelf to slide perfectly flush all the way through its motion. This is important for the stability of the tray and for the tray to stay tucked away. Once its in place, it has been pretty stable. Greatly improved my seating posture. Most importantly, I was able to fit the Microsoft Sculpt Ergo keyboard WITH the riser attachment, with room for an extra 2-3 inches, depending on desk thickness.

I purchased this to use with my Ikea Bekant adjustable desk, which has structural supports running down the middle of the desk, right where other adjustable keyboard trays would need to be installed. I chose this solution because I have a monitor stand by the same company and the quality was good for that product. This keyboard tray is also high quality and I've experienced minimal annoyances while using it. The armrests of my ergonomic chair, installed in the correct position, are exactly the same height as the tray, which is a bummer (and not a fault of the manufacturer of this product). But it's something to be aware of. But they do clear the tray if they are in a slightly lower position, allowing them to tuck underneath with about half an inch to spare on the left and right sides. Like others, I too have experienced the loosening of the tray. I keep a screwdriver in my office anyway so, for now, I'll tighten the screws as they loosen. It took about two weeks for the tray to wiggle, to give you a time frame. It's sturdy and a decent design if you have one of those Ikea Bekant desks like I do. I plan to get some slightly longer screws and will update this review when I've had enough time with that solution to provide feedback.

Tray assembly was fairly straightforward - be aware, though, that like other reviewers have said, the screws that connect the clamp assembly to the adjustable metal risers are a bit too short in my opinion. It's difficult to get them tight enough as there's not enough thread. Like other reviewers, I think the M5x8 screws should have been M5x10 - there's no reason i can think of where the longer screws would interfere with anything. Beyond that, the unit seems quite sturdy, any improvement over the previous one I had used for a number of years. There's actually less wiggle than the one it replaced and the brackets and clamps are more heavy duty. I like the ability to adjust the height (or drop) of the tray and it doesn't seem to affect the stability. Aside from the length the one set of screws for assembly, the only other negative I've found so far is that the keyboard slides around too easily. It would be nice if the surface wasn't as smooth or that some sort of keyboard pad were included, ala shelf lining material. I'm planning to cut something to size and try that. Another option would be to have an adjustable "stop" instead of the back edge plate, which works but the keyboard is too far back on the tray to be useful at that point. I would have rated the tray 5 stars if the one group of assembly screws was a bit longer and there was some means of controlling keyboard slippage.

Works and helps with me to sit ergonomically. The only con is that the adjustment screws are short and causes the shelf to have a bit of a wiggle. Thinking longer screws could possibly fix it and maybe a nut on the other side for stability. Screws need to be numbered to help identify them for faster assembly. Maybe even an easier way to adjust if multiple people need to use it. I remove the drawer frequently and the pads fall off so I glued them on.

I previously had a keyboard tray that was one of those with the rotator in the middle and it was annoying and irritating my legs all the time. Decided to try this one and it's been great. Finally and easy tray to fold and push in and out of the desk. My only complaint is I wish the mechanism was a bit shorter as unless you have a really tall desk, you end up using the lowest set of holes to screw it in. Edit: After 2 months this tray is awful. It's wobbly and uneven. I try to tighten the nails as much as I can but it still leans at a downward angle. I'm pretty close to just removing it all together and chucking it because of how useless it has become and how my arms hurt a lot now because of this. Would not buy if you want something that lasts.
