I have only been using it for a day but my first impressions are that it is sturdy, looks good, and does the job flawlessly. It is very easy and smooth to adjust the tray height and front to back distance, although it does require 2 hands which is a disadvantage over the style that just slides in and out. It was very easy to assemble and reasonably easy to install (drilling holes in desk and hand screwing to secure it was the most difficult part but it was fine.) In the questions section, I asked how far it comes down from the bottom of the desk when stowed. Several people answered 2 and 1/4 inches. After installing it, I find that answer misleading/incomplete. When it is all the way back, it can be tilted so the front of the tray is 2.25 inches (or less) from the bottom of the desk but in tilting it, the back of the tray goes 7" or more down (see photo). I asked the question because I wanted to know for purposes of leg room and being able to push a chair with arms under the desk so I can scoot up to it and work on the desk surface when I am not primarily working with the keyboard. A better answer is that when the tray is stowed, the distance from the bottom of the desk to the bottom of the tray is 5.25" (and maybe a little less if you don't mind the weight of the tray on your legs). That is with the tray almost flat, but like I said you can tilt it so the front of the tray goes up to 2.25 and the back to 7". (see photo) I would have docked a star or more for this not being explained anywhere but the 5.25" is still in an acceptable range for me and I am glad that this quality of keyboard tray is available at reasonable price (I got it on sale for $50). I don't expect it to last forever but the ratio of quality and price is good. If it does not last at least a few years I will come back and lower my rating but I don't expect that to happen.

I recently purchased the VIVO Large Under Desk 27 x 11 Inch Computer Keyboard Tray, and while the product itself is excellent, my experience was a bit of a rollercoaster—though ultimately, the great customer service made up for it. Firstly, the keyboard tray itself is solid and well-designed. It provides ample space for both a keyboard and mouse, helping me keep my desk organized and ergonomic. The tray slides smoothly under the desk and has a decent range of motion, making it easy to store when not in use. It’s the perfect solution for creating more workspace and improving posture by allowing me to keep my arms at a more natural angle while typing. However, there was a small issue with my order. Instead of receiving one left and one right tray piece, I received two left ones, which made installation a bit of a hassle. I reached out to VIVO’s customer service to address the issue, and I have to say, they were fantastic. They responded quickly, apologized for the mix-up, checked their inventory for a right half to send. They were very apologetic that they didn't have a replacement part in stock to ship and immediately sent me a full refund. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. My husband was able to drill out a couple new holes and we got the tray together. In conclusion, while I had a minor hiccup with the parts, VIVO’s prompt and professional customer service made up for it entirely. The tray itself is sturdy and functional, and I’m very happy with my purchase overall. If you're looking for a solid, well-made under-desk keyboard tray and value good customer support, this is definitely a product worth considering.

Easy to install. Very wide it holds my big keyboard. But it gets harder to pull out and in. Sometimes it gets stuck. But it’s serving its purpose.

Works great at my adjustable sit / stand desk. The 2 piece keyboard tray is an odd design choice that I believe was made to make the package size smaller for cheaper shipping, and using cheaper materials (glorified cardboard covered in plastic veneer.) using 2 steel straps in the center to give more strength and ability to join. Like others I did find that one side of the adjustable latches would constantly drop almost having me take it apart and returning it. I tried tightening the bolt that holds the lever and that made it worse so i backed it off a bit and it has not fell once since. I feel this is a design flaw. I would actually give 3.5 stars but that is not an option. after fine tuning this does seem to be a good product. Not a fan of the cost cutting design "features".

I mounted this in a vintage armoire type cabinet to help create a desk in a very small apartment, and I'm so impressed with the quality. It is sturdy, easy to operate, and was easy to install. I use it as a writing desk, so it gets a lot more pressure than if it were a keyboard tray. Love it!

I got this a few months ago. I am very happy with my purchase. I just needed my keyboard/mouse lower. Very sturdy and well worth it to me. It might be hard to adjust and it doesn't tilt. I never adjust it so it works well for me and fits perfectly under my desk. It is very large which I love. If you are looking for something easily adjustable, this is not for you. If you just need something lower and very stable, this is for you!

I purchased this keyboard tray to pair with a VIVO standing desk as I was concerned a slide out may have issues with the support bars. I can't say I'm thrilled. Nearly every time I move it, the flesh between my thumb and hand gets pinched and I've got a few nice welts after only 2 days. There's a lot of play in the bars, so it's very easy to end up with the sides set in different positions, and then the levers are almost impossible to push in and release - its very frequent and happens every other time I move it. The rubber caps for the release levers don't stay on, and just using them normally pops them free quite frequently. Yes I can glue them, but maybe if VIVO had done so in the first place, I wouldn't have to. Too bad, it's fairly sturdy and well constructed, it just seems like they didn't really test it much before saying "that's good enough for amazon, ship 'em out".

Installing any under-desk keyboard tray is going to be a hassle, but Vivo has included a very nice template so you can pre-drill the screw holes by just taping the paper template under the desk. The whole unit goes together nicely with a great fit, and the moving mechanisms don't feel too cheaply made. There are two levers on the inside that you depress with your thumbs to unlock it to slide it in or out. You can't really use it anywere except all the way in or all the way out, because it drops down as it moves, which is a little inconvenient making it too low to be useful. But despite that I'd still give it five stars because it works so well and they paid attention to the details trying to make it easier to install. You should expect to need to pre-drill the underside of your desk to get the screws in, no matter which unit you buy.
