I had gotten the similar style and color chair that came with the desk & chair kit was great until the chair collapsed and was not able to extend its height anymore. This chair was a big improvement because the chair now extends and is screwed into place on the legs so it no longer collapses. I got this chair for my young students in my harp studio. It is a sturdy chair, very well-made, except that it is a nightmare to assemble. Some of the parts do NOT align properly so that putting it together is a real pain. It takes two people and alot of muscle. The assembly was easy. But it is cheaply made and too small. I would say that the max age is like a 7/8 year old. My 9 year old can barely use it. I'll keep it but honestly feel like I should have went a different route.
