  • Super Product With Spectacular Support
Color: White Top / White Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
I have used this desk for quite some time now. It has functioned nearly flawlessly It feels just about as sturdy as a desk can feel at full height. I am 6 foot 1, and it does barely get high enough for me. Though if i was even an inch taller, I would say that it wouldn't go high enough. The assembly took some time, but is obviously made of good materials and has maintained its look and quality for the two years I've owned it. One of its best features is that you can set three memory positions, and you hit those memory buttons and it goes there with one touch--no need to hold a button. I have two very minor complaints. One, I don't care for the touchscreen. It goes to sleep immediately (calls itself a power save mode, which is ridiculous on an LCD screen). And you can't be sure where to touch it to wake it up. I have to keep poking around before it eventually finds something, and then half the time that makes something happen that I don't want. I would have preferred physical buttons or for it to not sleep. Two, I have had to reset the whole desk about 4-5 times. Not a huge deal. Usually it requires me to remove it from the power source, and plug it back in. But twice it has been stuck in an error mode and I need to do a full reset with a power cycle and holding the down arrow for 15 seconds. I should also add that their support is SPECTACULAR. You can go to the Vivo website and immediately chat with a knowledgeable and helpful representative that will quickly solve any issue you have. Overall, this desk has been like a 4.5 star purchase. 4 for the nagging little issues, 5 for everything else. So i rounded it to 5. ... show more

  • Sturdy, Great quality, Super Easy Installation
Color: Black Top / Black Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
My husband bought this desk a year ago because we work at home a lot and it’s important to stand often throughout the day. I sat at his desk recently and realized I could also benefit from a mechanical desk, so I bought the black one for me. Great size, lots of room for my 34” ultra wide monitor, my MacBook Air, plus plenty of room on the left and right side for supplies etc. love the digital settings for raising and lowering. You can program 3 settings. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Color: Light Wood Top / Black Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
This desk is really amazing. It's as close to "exactly-what-I-was-looking-for" as possible. It's comfortable to use while I'm seated and it's a great standing desk too. The height kind of cracks me up because it's so tall. I'm a six-foot dude, and this goes WAY too tall for me. The memory feature is perfect because it lets me press 1 for seated and 3 for standing. (I don't think I'll ever have a use for the mid-range setting, but it's nice to know that I have one more memory position left if I need it.) So here are my complaints, both of which have to do with the build quality... 1. For practical reasons the desktop comes in three sections that you connect together. I can't complain about that, because the box would be too big to ship if it were one solid shape (although you can ship a 55" TV without sawing into thirds). The hardware for this is a set of dowel pegs on the edge and then some heavy duty screw-on brackets to keep the sections together. But there's nothing to keep lateral tension on it. If you've put together anything from IKEA, you'll be familiar with their pegs and cams, and the cams create tension when you tighten them and that keeps the two butt-joints snug. Without this, the desk ends up with two long grooves down the desktop where dust and grunge can collect. I've got a big blotter though and it covers those grooves pretty well. 2. Next is the hardware to attach the legs to the desktop. (As a side note, I should mention that I had tons of screws leftover, like over twenty screws. Between the kit for the desktop and the kit for the legs, the screws weren't labeled very well and it was impossible to tell what's what.) Anyway, I used the screws with the largest heads because they made the most sense to me: The smaller headed screws would pull through the holes in the legs, and the number of large screws matched the number of holes in the legs. The problem though is that these screws are almost exactly the same length as the width of the desktop and the hardware on the legs. Consequently I have little pucker dimples on my desktop where the screws are trying to poke through the finish. This really stinks. Fortunately for the seller I'm too lazy and too timid to try to send this thing back and start over. Plus I'm in a hurry and really need a desk pronto. Besides those two complaints though, this thing is fabulous. The legs are seriously beefy and the mechanism works great. This thing is very solid. I also love how slow and quiet the motor is when it rises. I don't think the documentation gave a max capacity, but this has enough torque to easily raise and lower my heavy monitor, laptop, and the usual flotsam that I keep on my desk. I pray that the motor is high enough quality to last me for years. I think we've all learned during covid that a desk isn't just a desk. This is the docking station for our lives and we're going to be parked here literally for years. Don't cut corners and don't go cheap. Pick out something that you'll be able to love for years and that will love you as much as an inanimate object possibly can. ... show more

  • Just what I was looking for! Just what I was looking for!
Color: White Top / White Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
Delivery — this desk arrived within 2-3 days in two boxes. It wasn’t too heavy and everything was in tact upon arrival. Very sturdy — this desk doesn’t move when it’s at the sitting level, however, it isn’t as sturdy when it is at the standing level. It wobbles a bit but you would have to purposely knock it over for it to fall. I have not had any problems with it, it’s perfect for getting work done and not having to sit all day! I especially like the electronic keyboard feature because it is just a touch of a button to adjust the height! Assembly — this desk isn’t difficult to put together, it took about an hour or so to fully assemble it. I would recommend you move it to your desired location before opening the boxes to assemble it. Satisfied — overall, I’m completely satisfied with my purchase! After comparing all of the sit/stand desks out there, this was the best option as far as quality, price, and conveniency for adjusting its position (no hand crank necessary)! Recommend — I highly recommend this desk, depending on what you need it for; it should accommodate your needs! I absolutely love my desk! ... show more

  • Solid built frame, assembly instructions could use some tweaks
Color: Black Top / Black Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
Overall I think this is an relatively affordable electric driven height adjustable desk. The frame consists solid welded components that bolt (screw) together easily, just need to make sure the screws are tight before you flip the desk over. The task will go quicker if you have 2 people. The work surface or top is not the highest quality or what I would consider a high pressure laminate as you will find in higher end office work surfaces. Depending on how you use the surface, the coating might not be the most durable. The top is split in 3 sections, which is nice for shipping but requires extra assembly and aligning of mating parts. This product is modular so the frame and top will arrive in seperate boxes. The frame can be adjusted to accommodate many different top widths. Because the product is modular, there are 2 sets of instructions for assembly and each references components from the other package and tell you to do slightly different things (the big thing I notice was the method for attaching the cable management tray, I use the top's instruction suggestion of mounting it to the predrilled holes in the rear top cross beam). For the frame, one of the first instructions is to set the width of the spanner bar to fit you top but you need the hole placement from the assembled top to have an idea of what that is. I recommend assembling the top first upside down, then build the frame onto the top as the top has threaded inserts for all the bracket locations. Leave the mounting brackets loose until after you mount the legs to the brackets and then attach the spanner bar to the legs and locked down the spanner width, making sure everything is square. When you mount the floor brackets to the bottom of the leg, you might need to tighten all the bolts a few times to make sure they are fully seated. Any looseness here will allow the desk to sway and you don't want that. One thing to note, if the desk is going to be used on padded carpet, you will notice you can easily sway the desk front-to-back in the upper most position when you first place your desk on the carpet. Don't worry, this should go away once the desk has had time to compress the padding and have more of a solid base. One modification I made after reading some of the earlier reviews, the top is just under 3/4" thick, so the screws supplier to attach the digital display are too long. I happened to have some #8 x 1/2" - 9/16" wood (sheet metal) screws that installed great and did not bulge the top surface. ... show more

  • Great Desk and Great Customer Support Great Desk and Great Customer Support
Color: White Top / White Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
This desk is more economical than most I looked at, and the good news is, it is a great desk. I love it. The action on the electric motor is smooth and quiet. The desk took some time to assemble because the instructions are not straight forward, but they were easy enough. I bought the desk stand and the top, which means that it comes with 2 sets of instructions that don't necessarily say how to put it together from the perspective of having both pieces from the manufacturer. The instructions presume that you bought the stand and you have your own top, but again, it wasn't too hard to figure out. Also, the control unit didn't work when I got it. I emailed the company and they sent me a replacement right away with no questions asked other than the confirmation of my purchase. Unfortunately, the replacement didn't work either. I emailed them again and they sent me another which worked just fine. The problem was corrected very quickly and the customer support was really easy to work with. I would definitely recommend considering this over a $750+ alternative. ... show more

  • Solid, smooth, quiet desk. Read for shipping and assembly tips/warnings. Solid, smooth, quiet desk. Read for shipping and assembly tips/warnings.
Color: Black Top / Black Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
PHOTOS Yeah, I need to do some cord management. Yeah, son's room is messy. LIKES 1. Very solid desk. 2. Very quiet and fast motor operation. 3. Scratch-resistant surface. 4. The memory features for sit and stand are nice and easy to operate. They will give my son a chance to stand and burn off some energy while remote learning by just pushing one button, ensuring ergonomic consistency. DISKLIKES 1. Surface of desk is prone to fingerprints. 2. [minor] While the three settings for height memory are nice, it would have been nicer to have four. Assuming the most common use cases are "sit" and "stand", the third setting seems like a third wheel on a hot date. Having four settings would have better accommodated two people's sit and stand preferences. 3. The "screen saver" function is bit weird. After 90 seconds the control panel that displays the height will instead show "---" (apparently the screensaver, like that's so much more efficient than showing the number) and not accept any input. In order to use the desk again you have to press "M" for three seconds. But then after 10 minutes the whole display shuts off and you have to press the display to turn it on. It is supposed to prevent accidental pressing of buttons, but that seems like an edge case to me and less-intuitive redundancy to the power-off feature. SHIPPING For me the desk came in two different boxes which wasn't indicated in the tracking. One box contained the three paneled top, which I received first. Then a few days later the motorized stand came. The boxes were in bad shape, but all of the parts were there and the pieces were well-packaged. ASSEMBLY Assembly was fairly straight-forward. But here are a few things to look out for: 1. When assembling the motorized stand you have to adjust the width to match the top in one of the early steps; however at that stage you don't know what exact width it needs to be to align with the holes on the top. So I recommend not tightening the slider part until the end after you put the top on so you can finely adjust the underlying frame's width to align with the top's screw holes. So for me I finely adjusted the width after putting the top on and tightened the slider. Then I installed the variable-length metal rod for the motor last. 2. There were no instructions for the top, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Line up the three panels on the floor upside down (screw holes showing) with the rectangular piece in the middle and all cord-management holes aligned. Then you'll see that the two supplied bars lay across all three panels and align with the holes. 3. Before putting on the top, the instructions say to put these sticky pads with holes in them over the frame screw holes for padding. However, those white pads were thick and once the top was on the screws to screw from the frame into the top weren't long enough to get a bite with that pad in-between. Removing the pads with great vengeance and furious anger caused the screws to then go in quite easily. 4. The control panel (where you push the buttons up and down) has two holes to secure it to the underside of the desk. However, the hole pattern under the desk didn't match the hole pattern for the control panel. So you can utilize one of the desktop holes in the pattern for an easy screw-in. For the other hole you'll have to use one of the supplied pointy screws to drill into the underside of the desk. If you don't have a drill then your options are more limited. But I think a piece of 3M double-sided stick pad or double sided tape would work just fine. It's light. ... show more

  • Small complaints, great overall
Color: Black Top / Black Frame Size: 63 x 32 inch
I almost never write reviews, but I've had this product as my primary desk for almost two years now, and I am extremely happy with my purchase. This desk is well worth the money, and I do not see myself buying a new desk for at least a few years. Pros: - Very sturdy/reliable. Even though the top of the desk comes split in thirds, I have had no problems with it structurally at all. The bar mounted underneath is more than enough to prevent flexing (I haven't experienced any). It made the shipping box much smaller and the instructions are very easy to follow. Like I mentioned, I've had this desk for two years, and I feel like it could last another 5-10 without any problems. - Thick enough. About 6 months after buying this desk, I decided I had looked at the giant mess of wires hanging down from the back of the desk one too many times and purchased 2 "VIVO Under Desk 17 inch Cable Management Tray" to try to remedy the situation. Even though the desk is quite thin, I still managed to mount them both of the back of the desk, and have been very happy with that decision. They hold everything I need, which is one 8-plug power strip and 3 power adapters, plus whatever slack on the wires I need to store. If you do this, make sure to buy the appropriate length screws; the screws I bought were too long, so I had to stuff some cardboard in between the trays and the desk to reduce slack (I haven't had any issues with this though). - Height. I am 6'2", and at the full height the desk is just right. I imagine if I was one or two inches taller it would still be very comfortable. Anyone taller than that might want to consider a desk with a bit more height. Though I should mention than when sitting I do use it at the lowest setting, so I could definitely see it being a bit too tall if you are really short depending on the chair you're using (mine is 20"). Cons: - The touch panel. This is by far my least favorite thing about this desk. The touch part of the panel is very poor, and whenever I want to interact with the desk, I have to press my finger to whatever button I want to use for at least 3-4 seconds before it registers and starts doing something. I have also accidentally set the timer before, which usually startles me 30 or so minutes later when it goes off (who wants a timer on their desk when we all have phones???). Additionally when it is visually off (i.e. when nothing is displayed), you need to touch it once and wait for it to turn on, and then touch it again to press a button. Overall I would much prefer real buttons, or at least a better touchscreen. This is the only reason I rated this desk 4 stars instead of 5. - Looks. The separation between the three desk pieces is extremely noticeable, and I would say that the material in general looks fairly cheap, especially compared to desks that are built to have more of a wood finish. This is not something I really care about, and it didn't factor into my rating, but it is worth knowing if you're thinking about buying this desk. - The curve. This also isn't that big of a deal, but overall I have found that it does more harm than good, particularly when trying to buy a large mouse pad to put on the desk. Any large mouse pad you buy (more than ~8in wide) will have to be positioned at an angle. I would prefer that this desk was perfectly square, but this is a very minor annoyance. ... show more
