I wanted a desk with a wooden top so I could attached several arms (camera, mic, and monitor) and this desk got my eye. My glass top desk just could not hold the arms without breaking. So why did I pick this one? Price and when I saw the assembly video I said to myself "I can do that". I actually was able to assembly the entire desk by myself but having a second person would have been useful. What I like: A lot of thought was put into this desk. Base is very light, made of aluminum. The top is compressed wood but it can be easily removed from base using clips. Should be easy to move to a new location without compromising desk integrity. Top surface is made of some kind of carbon fiber material with a pattern. Not rubbery, more like plastic. Makes for a great mouse pad surface, fairly strong, great tracking. Not using a mouse pad with it. I did got the led lighted version because the cost difference was so small. What I didn't care for: The LED mechanism does add some additional complexity to assembly. Nothing I could not handle but I thought to myself "were it not for these LEDS just about anyone could assemble this". The LED's were red, wish they had been a cool blue instead of red. I did not get the wife approval factor but still liked how looks. Cable management is good but not amazing. What I didn't like: I never imagined gaming desks had improved so much. I should have gotten one a lot sooner. I had my old glass top desk for over 10 years, too long. ... show more

Comes with adhesive clips to hold the table cables under the board. Would've been better if it had an on and off switch for the lights. But still love it.

it does not come with a remote to change the colors it only stays red, and the top lights are bright and the round circle ones are dim. also it is very small, and the edges are not smooth also sharp. there is also a metal tray underneath the desk which is useful for storing stuff but is extremely annoying because is ALWAYS gets in the way. ... show more

There really is no need for the baffle that it comes with. Other than that it works as intended and the black color scheme goes with nearly all room set ups. I love it.
