I ordered this when by 8 year old son needed a cue. He likes the camo, I like the price. I've played with and I own several higher end cues, so I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this. I just knew I needed a cue that would aid him in getting better but wouldn't cost so much that I would cry when he broke it. This cue fit the bill perfectly. I've even played a few games with it and all things considered it plays really well. The shaft has more of a European taper to it. If your kid needs a cue or you need a short cue because your home table doesn't quite have the room around it that it needs then this would be an excellent choice. I can't make claims about every viper cue but this cue has stayed straight for more than a year now and it is often leaned against a wall for weeks at a time. For the price I really have nothing bad to say about this cue. That being said, based on this cue I probably wouldn't buy the full size version as my main player but I would buy it as an extra cue to throw in the trunk of the car. ... show more

Straight, good looking cue. Space is somewhat cramped on the sides of my table and I bought a 48" Viper for those side shots. I liked it so well that my two grandkids each have their own personal stick and I have two others for myself and other players. I now prefer using the 48" Viper for every shot except the break. So if you are following my story, I now have four of the 48" sticks, each with a different wrap or color. Though they all look different, the quality of wood and parts seem to be identical. -If you're looking for a 48" cue, I think you will be pleased with any of the Viper offerings. Item came in a soft case that help protect it while shipping and doubles as a carrying case as well. It is best for 10 year olds and up. Weight is a good proportion as well.
