This isn't a top of the line cue, under any circumstances. I bought 2 of these, one for me (intermediate level) and one for my girl (novice). I was pleasantly surprised with mine. I got it in brown, and it was nice to see it was naturally stained wood, not a decal unlike many other lower end cues. I actually love the way it looks. If I didn't know any better, I would have guessed this cue to be priced much higher. If you have the money to spend on higher end cue, do that. If your budget is <150, you can't go wrong with this one. Take the difference and buy a good case for it, because this cue is worth it. It looks like in the photos, even a little better in person, the finish is very good it only has some small details in the lower parts I give it 9/10 but it is a good cue for people who are just starting out or who have more knowledge.
