The Viper Black Mariah steel tip darts are designed with high quality, black coated brass barrels which offer exceptional balance and styling in a slim profile. Having a slim profile dart barrel is necessary to obtain a closer grouping of darts to maximizing scoring. Intended for use with sisal/bristle dartboards and are ideal for casual-to-intermediate level players. Each barrel has strategically placed knurled bands, deep grooves and rings that make excellent gripping points and encourages consistent hand placement. Viper Black Mariah darts are equipped with heavy-duty, lightweight aluminum shafts with locking holes that allow for a tighter fitting to the barrel, improving stability and greatly reducing the need to retighten during play. Quality flights help increase speed and reduce drag, producing a consistent flight path for pinpoint accuracy; detailed graphics are prominently displayed for added flare.

I got these darts a couple days ago, so far I like them, they are very good looking darts and seem to fly pretty well. The case that came with them is good and holds them firmly, it also came with a set of plastic shafts in addition to the aluminum that were on the barrells in the case. The flights are fine as they are, smooth sided stiff plastic, but I changed them out to a set of dimplex flights and am much happier. One thing to mention, at least for me is that these darts are very heavy and I had to relearn my throw to get them where I wanted them, there was alot of hitting the wall below the dart board at first. Decent darts are one of the small pleasures in life. And these are more than decent. Nicely balanced, accurate, sharp tips, comes with various spare parts -- worth the money. Throwing darts is relaxing and fun. And these are good ones. Life is too short to use toy darts. These are not toys.

    • Don't buy these for the "attractive travel and storage case"

First off I'm not going to compare these to top of the line darts. They aren't the best darts in the world, and its not fair to compare them as such. After reading through the reviews I saw two main complaints; the quality of the darts, and a seller they bought the darts from. I bought the darts from Amazon (not a third party), so it goes without saying that it was a good transaction. Many of the reviews have complained about the shafts being too loose and coming apart, and the thing that holds the flights being too loose. From my experience so far they have resolved both of these issues. The body of the dart is very solid... so much so that I'm not sure it comes apart (haven't tried though). I haven't had any issues with flights falling off during play either. The darts look pretty good, too. I thought the flights weren't quite as red as the stock photos, but that's not super important to me. My complaint with these darts... the description states that, "Set comes complete with attractive travel and storage case". In my opinion this was a lie. This line in the description was 80% of the reason I went with these darts despite the reviews. I bought these to take them around to friend's houses and bars. When I think of "travel and storage case" I think of a small case that holds the darts, and has a zipper etc etc. No such thing comes with the darts, but the description is technically still correct. You can use the packaging it comes in as a "travel and storage case". Its plastic, reseals, and keeps the darts secure. I'm not returning the darts because my needs are still met... I'm just a little upset about the description. I would say that its a good deal overall. Cheap darts are cheap darts. ... show more

Balanced, good grip, and accurate. I started using these instead of my usual 26 gram darts. My accuracy with these has gone up drastically. It's to the point that players I used to break even with on win/loss can barely ever beat me. FYI, I throw with a grip toward the back, sometimes a mid grip, use a short shaft and standard flight with these. ... show more
