Our kids and their friends love this toy, the darts fly pretty well and are pretty sturdy. The magnets stick pretty well, but they do have a tendency to bounce off the board and shift an inch lower than where it first strikes the board. But this is not a serious con, unless you are very serious about darts - in which case you shouldn't be buying a cheap kids version to begin with. The game is a lot of fun, good enough that our son wants to take this to school for a game day. Its a bit hard to mount on the wall correctly - if you put screws both for the top and the bottom of the board - the board sits snugly and doesn't move while taking the darts off. Also, the darts don't damage the wall at all - this was after a kid-party with 10 boys throwing these darts at the board/wall with abandon. ... show more

I was looking for a safe dartboard that my daughters can have in their rooms to play with. The board itself is very thin and light, which gives the impression that it is very flimsy. For what it was made for, it is actually made soundly, but because of the way it is made, I feel it should cost a lot less than what they are charging for it. It comes with 6 magnetic darts, 3 blue and 3 orange. The darts each have a flat magnet where the dart tip should be and the shaft is made of a mesh type material with a small funnel shape at the end. No feathers or edges, so it is a very safe dart. I've had magnetic dart boards in the past where you had a 50% chance of them sticking to the board based upon how hard you throw the darts. These magnets are very strong which is both a good and bad thing. Good in that 100% of the throws stick, but Bad because if you happen to throw very close to your other darts, it will stick to the dart instead of the board. My kids don't take issue with this, as they just count it as sticking to the same spot as the first dart and tally points that way. It bugs me staring at a sideways dart on the board, but if they like it, then I can't complain too much. Other than that, it is a perfect bedroom dartboard for kids. At the current $27 price tag, I would recommend this. If this was closer to $15 I would say it is a must buy for any child's room. ... show more

My 9 year old son wanted a dart board, but he has older and younger siblings, so having darts flying around any part of our house was a big no-no. This was part of his Christmas present and since hanging it up in our hallway, it has been a great source of fun for all of our kids and adults. It's at one end of a hallway and the hallway is long enough to accommodate throwing from a close up position or backing up for a more challenging distance. The magnets work well and don't damage our wall even when thrown with force, as often times adult guests do. My 3 year old nephew can even get a bullseye from time to time. He actually played non-stop for 15-20 minutes, retrieving the missed magnetic darts himself and climbing on a little step stool to get the magnetic darts that stuck to the board. Replacement magnetic darts are available for purchase if needed for about $14. If your kids, or you, are not ready for real darts that are sharp, this is a wonderful alternative. ... show more

First, the packaging said something like "Unbelievably Indestructible". Before I got it hung, one of the hangers broke off and I wasn't even applying pressure. I had to hang it using 2 - 3M Command Hooks attached to the sides, then fishing line tied to each hook. Then two of the darts bent where the tail joins the magnet so they don't sail to the board well. Since this is a smooth surface and these don't stick into the board like other darts, often times the dart straddles the line between two or even three sections. This leads to the kids arguing over what score they got for that dart because it's half into the 20 zone and half into the 2 zone. ... show more

This board exceeded my expectations. The darts stick to the board extremely well. Even if the board is hit with the side of a dart it tends to be strong enough of a pull to straighten the dart out. The darts seem to be very durable; the tails are a strong mesh that are connected to a hard plastic bulb containing the magnet. The tail remained secure even after a few hard tugs. The board numbers/colors are printed on a sheet and affixed to the board; they are not painted on. We'll see how durable this is in the future. There are 2 keyholes on the back to hang with screws (screws not included). We installed it in our kids' playroom and used 3M removable Velcro on both keyhole brackets and that seems to hold it sufficiently. All in all this is a great product if you want a dart board and are either afraid to give genuine darts to little ones or maybe want to install a board in an area where an errant dart might put a hole in your favorite family photo.
