I bought this bridge to replace the cheap bridge that came with my Violin. The Ebony insert for the E String is a must have. I case you did not know, Not all Violin tops are in a universal shape. The vendor sent me an email with easy to follow instructions on how to adjust the Bridge to the curvature shape on the top of the violin. Basicaly all I needed was 220 grain sand paper (on one side only) and painters tape to shape the feet of the bridge to the top of my violin. Use extreem caution not to damge the top finish of your Violin. Do your research before doing it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Sits perfectly as should on the violin and is perfect height/angle and thickness for my strings to sit at the right height above the neck of my violin to bring out it’s perfect sound! It

This violin bridge was a little pricier than some others but it had a much better fit then the cheaper ones. The two little feet look to seat better on the surface of the body.

    • Great quality and sound
After being fitted on my student violin it gave it a more warm and reacher sound. The sound of the strings overall is fuller. That G string sounds deeper and you can feel it. The bridge legs are uncut but curved enough to satisfy the immediate need of a bridge as I can tell by other reviews. However legs without being cut and fitted will elevate the strings, it will probably leave pressure marks on the violin and you will not get the best of the bridge, so yes fitting is a must. ... show more

Got a violin with a janky old bridge (see pic). This out of the package was going to be way to high for my violin so I buzzed the feet down a out 75% of the way with a Dremel then using a little olive oil on the placed where the feet would go I was able to assess where I needed to fine sand so they the both feet fit flush on the face of the violin. Worked like a charm and made the violin sound a million times better. ... show more

    • It's OK, not great
My example was not a very good piece of maple, so it dulls the sound somewhat. Very wide grained. The dimensions and carving were *excellent* for a standard sized, standard dimensions 4/4 strat copy, requiring only a little sanding on the feet so they fit flush with the top plate. The only way to get a better bridge than this, is to have a real luthier carve one out of a great piece of European maple, but since the nearest luthier is hundreds of miles from me, this will do, for a while. Price is right. The Ebony under the E string is a nice touch. ... show more
