  • The seller is not standing by their Zero tolerance policy
The monitor arrived on time and was not damaged in shipping. The setup of the unit was fairly easy as it is with most monitors. The thing is huge compared to my last monitor, a 27" LG ultra wide 2560 x 1080 gaming monitor. The only reason I changed up is that I got new glasses, and now i can clearly see the pixel pitch on the monitor so i needed something of higher resolution. This seemed to fit the bill and the price. The companies stance on Zero allowed dead pixels seemed to make it a decent deal as well. The monitor has little light-bleed from the edges, something i was worried about it being curved. The color and sharpness are fairly good. The On Screen Controls could use some work, as they are bottom basic, and actually a bit to small for such a large monitor. They should double the on-screen menu size to make things easier to adjust. The 800 x 600 footprint of the menu on a monitor of 4k is just to small. The stand is fairly sturdy and I was going to mount it on my VESA mount, but haven't as of yet and for good reasons. So the day after I set everything up, i decide to run a monitor testing app to look for dead pixels. I did not do it the night I set it up as I was still moving things around on the desk top make room for this big monitor. That is when I started to see the defects. There a few dead pixels here and there, and they are so small that I could live with them if i had to. But the biggest issue is that I found a diagonal zone of darkened pixels 7 inches down from the top of the bezel, and 4 inches from the left hand bezel. Its about 1/8 of an inch long, or about 3 millimetres. This was simply to much for me and my personal use. I am a 3D modeler and use Photoshop regularly, and several other game developing tools, and having this in a very visible area of the screen is just not acceptable. So I contacted the seller and explained in detail about the issue, and they asked me to photograph the dead pixels. I grabbed my camera, and used the macro function to get in real close. It turns out that its not dead pixels after all, but something looking like a particle of cloth caught between the screen panel's layers. It has a very organic shape to it, not the normal stair step look of dead pixels. It has rather twisted fiber look to it. The object is opaque enough to completely mask out light from behind, hence why most people would think it a grouping of dead pixels. Now the fun part begins. I sent the pictures of the two largest particles to the seller, and they got back to me on Black Friday, with a shipping label. They want me to send the monitor back to them for "inspection" without sending me a replacement. They seem to not be aware this would leave me without access to my computer for what, nearly three weeks as it will take a week for it to get back to them, and then a week most likely for them to "inspect" the monitor, and then decide is they are just going to return it as is, or send me a replacement. If I had not given my old monitor to my nephew the weekend I got this monitor I would be alright with something like this. The only other monitor I have is an old HP 1600 x 900 and I can not work on that thing, its to small and to dark due to the FL back-light dimming from age. But it hit me that most sellers decide to send a replacement unit, and then the customer packages up the original one and returns it. This seems to be outside their normal area of experience. I have seen that most people that have reviewed this monitor and its sibling devices that had issues got replacement units and then sent the first one back. At this point, I am in limbo due to Holiday weekend and can't do anything until Monday. I am going to demand a replacement unit sent out, and then will see how it turns out. As of this writing, give a strong second thought about this monitor and the company. If they end up turning around and doing things right, I will amend this. But right now I have this nagging feeling that I should have gone with LG i was originally going to buy. Yes I saved about $50. but now I have to deal with all of this. Update#1 I have been through weeks of email conversations with their rep, and gotten nowhere. They have delayed acting hoping that the 30 day exchange policy would expire so they could just ignore all of it. First it was out of stock, and then after coming back in stock, they did not set one aside for an exchange. The insist on treating me differently then they have anyone else that has had issues with the monitors they have sold. This is not Viotek, but Best Choice Online. They tout their calling them on the phone. But no one ever answers, even when it within their business hours. Its all automated in a way as not to deal with customers. Now they insist I return the monitor to them before they will take any action at all. This is not how they have treated other customers. I have explained to them, that I need to have a monitor in order to work. They are asking me to take an unpaid vacation and make no income. As I am side contracted game dev, I can't claim unemployment, so they want me to make nothing for 2 to 3 weeks while they piddle around deciding whether they are going to exchange the monitor, or just send back the first one. Not to mention, what happens if the second monitor ends up damaged in transit. Then I have to deal with them all over again. The monitor brand is not what is at stake here. Again, this is not Viotek making these choices, its Best Choice Online, the retailer that is stringing me along. What I should have done is buy the dam thing over on NewEgg, from a higher ranked retailer. The only reason I didn't, was that they didn't have free shipping, and in the end, I would have paid more for the monitor there than here. Never again will I buy computer equipment on Amazon. Its fine for all other things, but leave computer hardware to the pros at a site that knows what they are doing. Amazon has little to no sway over these people, and I am at their mercy. At this point, even if I returned it for a refund, I am doubting that I would even receive it, things are that dire at this point. U[date#2 Again more of the same. They wont sent a replacement until i return the one I have. It is now past the normal 30 day exchange, they have played me for 4 weeks now. They still want me to give up the monitor and then wait for them to make a move. All I can say is stay away from anything sold by BEST CHOICE ONLINE, they stink to high heaven, and are just horrible to deal with. You can't talk with them on the phone. You leave message after message, they do not or will not return your calls. There emails are nearly always the same. They do not treat all customers equally. I am getting the short end here, and being asked to do all the leg work, and then not to work and take a big hit to my livelihood. I will lose my position on the development team if I can't work for just one week. It will take nearly 2 to 3 weeks for a replacement to be sent, or to get a refund, and I doubt that would happen either at this point. I can't even try to buy a replacement at this point, I simply can't afford to try, and stocks at all time lows everywhere. I could do that until the refund came through anyway, and by then, my job would be gone. I am going to report them to the BBB. Its a futile move, but maybe its enough that it will steer others away from buying from them in the future. So at this point, I am stuck with this imperfect monitor with a its glaring particle embedded int he screen. I am certain if Viotek knew about this they would be very upset over this by proxy, its giving them a black eye. I am now more certain then ever if I return this thing, i will never see a dime returned to my credit card. So here I am, stuck with this. I can still work on it, but i keep seeing the mark, and wiping the screen with a microfiber cloth forgetting its in the screen, not on it. I am not a happy camper at his point. What a way to brighten my holidays, even if i was going to mostly work through them. ... show more

  • Very happy with it.
Really happy I bought this. I thought it was a good price and, in my opinion, 32" is the perfect size. The picture is sharp with great vivid color. 4K is outstanding! My biggest letdown had nothing to do with the monitor...it was my own flawed expectation. I thought that the curved screen would be more impactful to the eye than it is. If I couldn't actually see the curvature of the frame, I am not sure I would have any idea it is curved. I kept reading how much more "immersive" the curved monitors are and I just don't see it. But again...this is about curved monitors in general and not related this this specific monitor. One problem that was a bit annoying was assembling the stand. It was easy to understand how it is assembled and there are only three screws needed to put it together so the design is fine. The problem is that the screws screw in so hard (the two at the top of the stand) that it is difficult to get them in all the way without stripping out the phillips heads. They appear to be coated with some sort of threadlocker which would explain a little resistance but this was ridiculous. It felt more like the screw was cross-threading into the hole and it was very concerning. This was so severe that it almost prompted me to give it four stars instead of five, but it was just a hurdle to get over and has nothing to do with how satisfied I am with the monitor now that it's behind me. If I had it to do over again, I would go buy new screws from a local hardware store and put my own threadlocker on which, in liquid form, would not give such resistance. in all other aspects, I love the monitor! ... show more

  • Great quality
I bought on a sale though not by much, really enjoy it, has lasted my through a divorce. Has the right curves and never says they only love me when I do things for them. Willing to stay up late with me and game all night. Wish I could get a second one! Though on a tight budget and smaller space now.

  • Why didn't I buy this sooner?
I soooo like this monitor. I use this exclusively for work. I replaced a 27" Samsung flat monitor with this curved Viotech 32" monitor and am so glad I did. 1) The screen is ideal for pulling up two documents at the same time. I can place them side by side and easily move between the two documents. 2) Very happy with the adjustments. Spent some time tweaking the screen for the conditions in my office. 3) I was not at all sure if the curved screen was just a gimmick when I purchased it. Weeks later and I am a huge fan. 4) Great resolution. My screen fatigue is gone. I'm sure this is actually a combination of things and the improved resolution as well as the fine adjustments and curved screen have made my time in front of this monitor so much easier. 5) A solid stand. Surprisingly well made. Easily the best purchase I've made this year. ... show more

  • Decent Monitor for a Reasonable Price
Purchased this for both gaming on my PC (Nvidia 2080Ti) and my primary work machine 2019 MacBook Pro 13". The monitor is decent and connects relatively easily. The power cord was a bit shorter than my previous Samsung and thus harder to plug in. The way the ports are positioned, all facing down also seems like it would make for neater cabling, but actually is a pain to see the plugs and connect cables. The controls are okay after fiddling with them a bit. I came from a late 2018 27" Samsung 4K monitor hoping for a replacement and I liked the clarity, color, and contrast better on the (not much) smaller Samsung. I ultimately am returning this and have ordered a significantly more expensive Alienware 34" curved gaming monitor. As far as recommending or not recommending this monitor, it's a fair-price competitor that offers a lot of features and a nice 32" curved monitor, is easy to assemble, has sufficient connections (3 HDMI, etc.) and probably will work as a nice upgrade for others not as spoiled as I am and should handle both gaming and work equally well. ... show more
