Seriously the most comfortable heels I’ve ever worn. I wore these to a conference in LA and had NO pain whatsoever. I have flat, borderline wide feet and these were so amazing. The arch support was a nice surprise and I thought it would hurt, but after wearing them a while, it actually seemed to help prevent my back pain that usually comes with standing for long periods. Stylish and comfortable! Love the block heal and the adjustable strap. Footbed is well padded for the metatarsal area of your feet. Which is good because I have very bony feet! Bought a second pair in the light pink! They are pricey, but it’s hard to find comfort paired with style and this has both!

Very comfortable, but I took a star away because the sole under the toes is quite thin and you can feel rocks. I'm 60, so these things are important to me. Needed these for an outdoor black tie wedding event. The Velcro closure was such a nice feature as I typically would ask my husband to help. They were comfortable. I was really more concerned about the comfort since they were under a floor length gown and no one would see them.

The Vionic Black Chardonnay block heels are made with beautiful leather. I have a few other pairs of Vionic shoes and inserts and I love them. This shoe however, is not what I have come to expect, at least for my feet. There is an arch designed into the sole. I do have high arches and Medium to slightly narrow feet and the arch on this sole barely touches my arch and when it does with a precise positioning and with no movement it just touches my arch and then the side hangs over a bit. The strap on the toe is a little bit loose. While I’m happy it’s not too tight, being a little loose also does not keep my feet at the correct position of the arch since my foot slides forward a bit. And for the ball of foot/toe area it should really be a little thicker, more cushioned. Compared to the chunky heel which I love, it is just not very comfortable to walk or stand in. Because of that the pain of the ball of foot area happens quite quickly. I debated ordering these due to the variety of reviews. And I sadly will be returning them. They are designed to be for proper alignment. But for the price they fall short for me which is why I have 3 stars ... show more

Ive been tracking theee shoes, reading reviews, and wanting but holding off on these shoes for a number of reason's, but I found them essentially at half price and snagged them. Reasons I was wanting and/or holding off and how I feel about them now: - I knew the buckle wasn’t functional and Velcro was underneath. Result: they can get plenty snug anyway! There’s lots of room to spare on my medium ankle to fasten it tighter. My very first pair of vionic sneakers had very loose elastic straps with Velcro and never got tight, and naturally I rolled my ankle in them. These won’t stretch out, so they’re good. If I they were too loose without significantly shifting the strap to a non-Velcro part, i could also add a strip of Velcro on the inside of the top strap to latch on to the inside, which would function the same. But it’s not an issue. Reason I was holding off: suede! Result: pretty sure these are faux suede. Anyway, I don’t often wear high heels, so they won’t get tons of use anyway. I just need them in a pinch. Reason I was holding off: heels! Gah! I am hypermobile and fall too often. Result: this is sort of cheating, but I have a different pair of vionic heels without the ankle strap and they are amazingly stable, supportive, and comfortable. I’ve never seen another company do this, but the heel of the shoe is slightly cupped, so your foot naturally falls into the center of the shoe. The block heel is my favorite kind of heel to wear as it is also extremely stable. Those two things make a HUGE difference. I knew that adding the top strap would only improve the comfort, and I was right. Reason I was holding off: price. I saw these for ~$70 after only seeing them at $130 for several years, so I jumped on it. Result: mostly great, except whatever company sold them sent them in a malformed box.
