The violin, although on the light side, play pretty decently, and is able to perform. I love all the stuff that came with the violin as well. The bow on the other hand isn't as great as I would prefer, I would recommend a better bow for other who would like to learn or play in performances like I have with this violin. The tuning- it is really terrible but with enough patience and pushing the pegs into the wood hole a little more it should strengthen the tuning. I love the way this violin looks as it suits my other violins and instruments really well.

My daughter's first violin, so we didn't want spend too much, just in case she didn't enjoy the lessons. This violin is sounds great, it's a nice vintage look. I'm very happy with this purchase.If you're a beginner this might be a good option for you.

I sadly do not have a lot of great things to say about this violin. I have been wanting to take up playing the violin for a while and was tempted with this violin. I used to work for a music shop, so I have a small amount of knowledge. The major issue with this violin is that it is very difficult to keep in tune even with professional string gel. The pegs do not stay tight in the peg box and eventually unspin once you tighten them. The bridge does not come attached and has to be installed. It does come with a lot of extras including a metronome, resin, etc. The case is also very nice and seemed like the best quality out of the whole set. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the violin, not being able to keep it in tune makes it very difficult to play or learn on. I'll probably end up giving it to my niece or something.

Yah, ok I know this says it’s for beginners, but I still didn’t expect much of anything when I ordered it. I mean how much of a violin are you going to get at this price point? I figured it would last a few months and then we could upgrade. Man oh man was I blown away when I opened this up!! Beginners?! Yah, ok sure….but this is stunning and beautifully crafted! Its weight feels good in my hands and on my shoulder. It looks like a high quality piece not something you paid $100 for. I was truly caught off guard. Look at my photos. This came with just about everything a beginner could possible need. The case is perfect and has straps so you can carry it as a backpack. I’m very impressed with this instrument and cannot recommend it enough!

At this price, this is an unbelievable value. I have been a musician my whole life, over 40 years, and never played violin so I used this value as a chance to try. This seems to be a solidly made instrument with a loud, clear tone. The bow seems to be decently made and all the included extras are great. Some notes for potential buyers: - Initial setup is vital and the instructions are HORRIBLE. I managed to figure it out by the photos but I have worked on stringed instruments for decades. Ignore the instructions and as soon as you open the case go to YouTube and search for new violin setup for clear, easy to follow instructions. The kit includes everything you need. - The included rosin is very, very hard, meaning you can rosin your bow forever and still not be able to get a sound out of the violin. Again, YouTube is your answer. I had luck by softening up the surface of the rosin block with sand paper and files, then applying. And I had to apply a TON compared to what the videos will tell you. Certainly hundreds of bow strokes. - If the bow doesn't make a noise when you draw it across the strings you don't have enough rosin. Just keep going, then go some more. When you have it right you'll feel the bow kind of "catch" on the strings and it will vibrate them perfectly. All in all this strikes me as a killer price even for just the violin, let alone a bow, case, rosin, polishing cloth, extra strings, and a digital tuner. If you can afford it, buy it. Then prepare yourself the long, frustrating road of learning a new instrument. Recommended.
