As an adult beginner, I was hesitant about purchasing an instrument online, but this violin set has completely exceeded my expectations. The value for what you receive is truly outstanding. Right out of the box, the violin is visually stunning. I chose the black natural gloss finish, and the wood grain is beautiful. I was actually interested in learning to play the violin after watching Wednesday Addams on the TV show, so the all-black violin is actually sort of fitting, lol- even though I didn't intend it to be. The instrument feels solid and well-constructed, not at all toy-like. The case is a pleasant surprise- t's a sturdy hard case with plush lining that holds everything securely and makes transport worry-free. This is a true all-in-one package. It includes absolutely everything you need to start playing from day one: a tuner, rosin, a comfortable shoulder rest, an extra set of strings, and even fingerboard stickers to help learn note placement. Having all these accessories bundled together eliminates the guesswork and extra cost of sourcing them separately. The sound is clear and warm, which is very encouraging for a novice. It's responsive and feels good in my hands. I did need to watch a quick online tutorial to properly position the bridge and rosin the bow for the first time, but that's a standard part of starting any string instrument and was a simple process. For anyone considering learning the violin, whether for themselves or as a gift, this set is the perfect starting point. This violin and case are amazing. It's well-made and high-quality. The violin itself is easy to tune and really lovely to play. It comes with two bows, instructions, and stickers for the fret board, which is helpful to beginners. It has a bright sound that is very resonant. I have been wanting a Violin for years, but i didn't want to invest too much money into one, especially if I never fully got into it. This was a great price, and comes with a bunch of awesome extras. I'm very much a beginner, so the set up was a bit challenging. Getting the bridge in the right spot so i could get the tension on the strings correctly and get the instrument tuned up. I did have to watch a few videos on this portion since there was limited instructions on how to accomplish this. Overall i'm very pleased with the look/feel of the instrument, and that the package comes with rosin, a bow, a case, a neck/shoulder mount, and extra strings. Now i need some lessons!
