I ordered an 8 1/2 and a 9, ended up keeping the 8 1/2, they are very narrow so if you have a wide foot don't bother. Nice dark black suede, the laces could be better

I was so excited to get these boots. The positives: the leather and composition of the main part or the boots is wonderful! They even fit my wider calves without any major gapping at the top near the tongue. I can lace them up leave them and zip and unzip to put them on/take off. The negatives: the laces are extremely thin and not durable at all. They snapped and broke the very first time I tried the boots on to tighten/loosen the laces (which you do when you get new boots for better fit.) You can see where I had to tie the laces back together in the photo. So I bought replacement leather laces that matched the color of the boots (and that was an excellent decision! ) the second issue is the top grommet for the laces fell off while I was replacing the boot laces. I noticed this was a slight human error about snapping the grommet together as the bottom part of the grommet was not aligned with the top when they were clamped together through the hole. These are small issues and I still love the boots, but I feel if you're paying over $120 for leather boots they should come with better laces that won't snap as you're trying on the boot for the first time.

I love the Boot/Sandal Boot. it gave a chic and unique look to my Birthday Outfit. My only dislike was that the box was damaged and put in a huge box. I'm just big on keeping my footwear in its original box. Overall, I am not disappointed in the comfort of these boots.

I normally wear a size 9 in boots, but found these to be too long in the foot for me. I would need an 8.5 for a better fit. I also found the the ankle area of the boot didn't feel tight enough for me, and when I walked, my ankle slipped. It could be due to the size being a little too big for me; however, as mentioned by other reviewers, the calve area is very small. I don't have large calves but if the boot was even slightly smaller, I wouldn't be able to zip these up without pinching my skin. Leather is beautiful. Too bad I had to return, and I'm not sure if an 8.5 would be too tight in the calves. Took off a star for the sizing issue.
