I have several actual vintage airmail designed stationery sets and these have the same design . . . sort of. The back is a very light tan (instead of white on the 'real' ones), and the only graphic on the sheets of stationery is the red/blue/tan border. The one wonderful feature is that the sheets are lined on BOTH sides and the sheets are not too thin, so you can actually write on the back without the writing bleeding through to the other side. The original airmail stationary was as thin and light as possible, as mail delivered as airmail was charged by weight, so every gram saved was money saved. This paper isn't that thin (though it's not bulky, either), but it has the right look. I'm excited to write actual letters to people -- just for the heck of it -- and bring a little sense of nostalgia with each note. ... show more

The product is as described by the seller. There was some gritty texture that I felt on the stationery and envelopes. I'm not sure if I received a dirty package or if something happened in warehouse or during shipping. Either way, I didn't like the grittiness and I hope it doesn't affect when I write on the stationery. ... show more

The paper is thick and the envelopes feel pretty sturdy. The style is really reminiscent of the old school styles used in the past and looks just really cute. Love using these for dropping encouraging notes to my little ones.

This Vintage Airmail stationary is truly very nice. It is definitely a blast from the past… I really like the aged/vintage look, and the stationary paper is quite substantial. It is 27 lb. bond paper, which is definitely on the thick side. It should be noted that this stationary paper is not bright white. Rather, it is a light tan colored, which is exactly what you would expect vintage paper to look like. I like it very much. Here is the best part… This vintage stationary will REALLY get someone’s attention! No kidding! For the price of one US Postal Service First Class Mail stamp, you are almost guaranteed that the recipient will QUICKLY open this important looking envelope.
