I previously had a cheaper trellis that blew over and broke during a storm so I was looking to replace it. I came across this and liked that it's made of pvc, rather than multiple metal segments screwed together like the previous one. It was rather easy to assemble and I would recommend utilizing additional screws for each segment to help reinforce, yet also make assembly easier for you. I have read some reviews that people had a hard time with placing the metal stakes in the end. I would recommend inserting them into the bottom of the trellis, setting it where you want it to be, and then gently begin pushing them into the ground (I marked with a marker where the bottom of the trellis sat so I knew where "ground level" was. I took the trellis off and then pounded them into the ground. I'm very pleased with this purchase for its price and hope this review helps others! ... show more

This arbor was easy to assemble however it did keep falling apart during the process and was frustrating. If the instructions advised to secure the screws before completing the assembly, it would have helped quite a bit. Once we had it assembled and ready to place, measuring where to put the stakes to secure it took more time then needed. a paper template would have helped tremendously. You may get one side right but be off a little on the other and need adjustment. But in the end we did it, and the labor looks very nice. I like the idea that since this arbor is located in a wetter part of the garden where more water hits it, the pvc material is great and it should last forever. The styling is modern and not fussy and the biggest plus that it came in BLACK! I would recommend this item and hope the manufacturer takes note of the suggestions noted. ... show more
