This is a little on the lightweight side and I plan to add on a gate. So to add strength, it will be anchored on each side by a fencepost. It is perfect for my garden design. The assembly directions were clear, all the hardware was there, and the assembly went smoothly. I ordered two arbors and both were delivered within a couple of days. One arbor is already assembled and installed and it looks great. Its ready for some lovely vines to be planted alongside. The second one will be assembeled and installed by next week. This arbor was packed perfectly and all the parts were there. I was able to put together myself, it was easier to put together with a power drill. it's very sturdy and looks great in my garden!

    • Minimal pre drilled holes, will need a drill and another person.

It is a gorgeous trellis gate, however, there are not pre drilled holes to line up pieces to connect. So there is quite a bit of measuring and drilling with an electric drill involved. The trellis is tall and wide enough that 2 people would make the building process so much easier. Alone, this took me 3 hours to build. And a bit of frustration. Original review-(February 2026)Poor quality. Straight from the (undamaged) box it has cracks all over. Some cracks have been stained meaning they were definitely like that before they packaged it. There’s little fibers coming off the wood like they didn’t sand it. I can’t decide what’s more irritating the poor wood quality or the fact they don’t put in pilot holes so the screws add more cracks when you screw them in! We had to drill our own pilot holes to keep it from cracking even more. Amazon has turned into such a pain to do returns with, especially since the packaging is so large and I can’t take it to a shipping company in my tiny car and I would have to disassemble ugh, I’m disappointed but sticking with it. We’re going to wood glue and clamp the cracks back together then sand and re stain. I would not buy another one and strongly advise against this product. For the price I expected a much better quality product. The overall structure is good so I’m giving it two stars but I think the price should reflect the quality and this was way overpriced for all the corners they cut. Update- about one month later (march 2026). Even with gluing the cracks together and using deck sealer more cracks are opening. I’m so fed up with this arch. It does get complements from neighbors and it is pretty but it’s not going to last very long. I’m taking away the last star I can and this is officially one of the very few one star products I’ve reviewed. ANOTHER UPDATE (June 2026)- I rarely update reviews and never several updates but this product has me beyond annoying and at this point I wish I could give it negative stars… For reference I live in California and the February-early June I have owned this product have been very mild, per usual, meaning no extreme heat/cold/rain and zero snow. So, for this arch to have these issues in my very mild climate, with very excessive precautions taken including waterproofing deck staining applied immediately after assembly and pre drilling pilot holes that should’ve been done in the first place but weren’t, the issues it’s given me are absolutely mind boggling. It’s been about 4 months since I first bought it, assembly and stained it. I decided I will do another stain to make sure it’s going to last a couple years. Not only is there MORE cracks in it but I found a couple small spots I missed while staining the first go round (see pics below for spot I missed staining vs spot I did stain). I am disgusted with this quality. I have completely untreated wood sitting out just as long that’s in way better shape than this. Let’s remember this is supposed to be treated wood already and you shouldn’t have to do a waterproof stain on it but I was being extra. So for this to look like a rotted old barn after 4 months in a mine California spring is abhorrent. I regret not taking the extra time to send it back originally or even just not using it period and buying a new arch. Unfortunately my roses are growing on it and I don’t want to rip them out. Please do not buy this. I wouldn’t even take it for free if I was offered another. ... show more

Looks pretty nice but just unpacked it tonight and it's missing instruction manual, screws, brackets, etc. Some of the pieces have damage on the edges so I think this was a resold return. I'm outside of return window at this point, but be warned to open up the box before that window closes just in case it's incomplete. ... show more
