These were so stiff in the shaft I could hardly move my leg. I’m short so it went all the way up to my knee. The only thing good about it was the shaft circumference fit me (13 1/2 inch calves eesh). Wish I could have moved my leg in them oh well

    • I wanted these to work so bad
The good: I’ve been looking to replace an old pair of boots for ages and this is the first pair that checked all the boxes. Real leather, rounded (both over and across) toe box, tall shaft, slightly thicker but not clunky soles with well proportioned stacked heals. These are really attractive and relatively practical dress boots. The dark mahogany is beautiful and even the black looks good while being versatile/practical. (I’m not as sold on the ombré look of the light brown color). I really wanted these boots to fit, I’m kind of cheap but I was willing to drop $200+ on them I liked the looks so well. Notes on fit: I think they run a bit long. I wear a 7.5-8 normally. Even in the 7.5 in this boot I had significant space at the end of the toe making me think I might be able to fit in a 7. The shaft is very tall (which definitely looks great while standing) but has very minimal dip in the back. I’m 5’5” and just barely manage to sit in them. If you are sitting in a chair below knee hight, you may find they hit the back of your knee. I was worried about shaft circumference b/c I was at the upper limit of the stated sizing but even with thicker leggings on, I was able to put them on easily and they were still comfortable. The down side: The shaft is very straight. I had a lot of space at the ankle and a couple fingers space at the very top of the shaft. I would prefer it to be a bit more fitted in those areas (especially the ankle) but this is really minor and wouldn’t have stopped me from buying. My foot did tend to slide forward in the shoe a bit, I think this would have been corrected with a narrower ankle area. These boots are narrow across the ball of the foot. I walked around the house in them for a bit trying to convince myself it would be ok but I just can’t spend that kind of money on a boot I won’t be able to wear for any length of time or walk in comfortably. I think I probably could have gotten away with the 8 in lightweight athletic socks but I don’t know that I could have worn anything thicker for winter and unfortunately I need a 7 or 7.5 for length and the 7.5 was uncomfortably snug trying on, nevermind extended wear or walking. I ordered the wide calf to, just in case. The very top was noticeably wider but didn’t look bad. At the wide part of my calf they looked nice while have a moderate amount of space. I think I could have easily managed a heavier weight (skinny fit) pant and knee socks in the wide calf version whereas I probably couldn’t have in the regular. I was hoping since wider calves often come with wider feet that the foot bed might be just a tad roomier in the wide calf version but they weren’t, fit exactly the same as the standard shaft boot. ... show more

The shaft leather is not as nice as the actual boot portion and bunches/wrinkles a little by the ankle. All together this is a cute boot that I'll be pairing with tights to wear for events all winter. The black color is true to the picture. The size is true. Thank GOD for Vince Camuto and their wide calf boots! This is my second pair and it's so nice to have the shaft of a boot fit over my calf properly. They are also very comfortable for a dress boot. My calves are about 17 inches and the boots were too tight. I have standard knee-high boots that have fit better than these cute and great quality, but unfortunately do not fit well.
