Was not a good fit. Front flang did not mate well, was to small. Tail pipe did not match up at all. Ended up cutting 8 inches off to keep it from sticking out the back. Not sure if this was a problem with the product or if the person who owned the Explorer before me put a non OEM exhaust on. Muffle lined up and went right on exhaust pipe was the right length. First section of tail pipe fit okay. Not sure what the problem was but I do know it took 6 hours to do a 2 to 3 hour job because of the front flang and tail pipe not fitting correctly. Overall good replacement product for my 1996 Ford Explorer. Only had to modify one pipe by shortening it going from the muffler to the resonator. Everything else went together very nicely. I painted all the pieces with high heat exhaust header paint before installation (and touched up all connections with same paint after installation so it will last) When I fired up the truck it was so quiet you could here the fuel pump. Underload has a little throatiness to it but still quieter than the previous 2 after market exhaust system I had on my truck! Will definitely buy again in the future if needed...if my truck last that long! ... show more
