Any color doesn't matter. I bought this as my first cue, then bought more cues after that. After getting better at pool with my other cues, then coming back to this one, it's fantastic. Viking do a great job of running Valhalla as the quality control is fantastic. This this STRAIGHT. Go watch average Joe's review of this cue on YouTube. This cue beats out ones that are 5 to 8 times it's price which is ridiculous. I would have bought a fancier looking 100 series had I known how much I was gonna like it. This is a great cue for beginners and people who don't want a flashy cue for playing in bar tournaments. Shoots like a much more expensive cue at a great price. The color is great as well. If you are just starting out in the game or need a dependable back up this is a great choice.
