  • Very good monitor for the money.
Style: 22-Inch
I bought this monitor after doing some research about monitors. I've been "messing" with computers since 1993 and the Viewsonic brand has always been a solid name in monitors. This one doesn't disappoint ... at least in my humble opinion. The screen is sharp and bright ( a bit too bright, I had to turn down the brightness a bit). Has good side to side viewing angles(I've looked at it from the extreme angle and the picture is still sharp, bright, and full of color). With it's 5 ms refresh time and 60 mhz response, it might not be the ideal monitor for gamers. However, in the games I play (mostly strategy and city building titles like Cities Skylines, Planet Coaster, Banished and so forth) performs quite well. Viewsonic does make some gaming oriented monitors, but this one fits my needs quite well. All in all, I would recommend this monitor. It's worth every penny of it's price. ... show more

  • Oh how the might hath fallen
Style: 27-Inch
I've always felt Viewsonic was a good brand, and I've bought four or five Viewsonic monitors in the last twenty years. Display quality was always high, and they were always well built and sturdy. Apparently, that's changed. This model is none of those things. When the box was dropped off, the seal on the box was already cut, which was my first clue that I was either getting a return, or a poor product someone sent back. The base for this model is the cheapest I've ever seen. Being plastic it's already flimsy, but with almost no metal reinforcement. The slightest movement of my desk makes the whole monitor wobble. There's also no HDMI cable included, just a cheap VGA cable that looks like it's a couple decades old. On the box, under contents, they list it as a "video" cable. Since when does a tech company *not* use technical terms? Not a huge deal, I have spare HDMI cables, but still... it's not what I would have expected from Viewsonic. If the display quality was good, I'd let both complaints slide, but honestly, it's garbage. It's fuzzy, the contrast is mediocre, and my eyes have feel somewhat strained after just twenty minutes. I'm honestly appalled, I didn't expect this. Even the viewing angle is awful. I've always recommended Viewsonic to others, and this is one electronic purchase where I honestly didn't think there was the slightest chance I'd be let down. I thought, if I bought a Viewsonic, I knew I'd get a good quality monitor regardless of the price point, and my only conclusion is that Viewsonic has let quality slide to save money and stay competitive with their rivals. It shows. ... show more

  • Cheap as dirt price, bad monitor drivers, but here's the fix for washed out colors:
Style: 24-Inch
Update: The color problems I was experiencing were related to the default drivers for this monitor being incorrectly configured. Even the drivers on the ViewSonic site are incorrectly configured. This monitor was using RGB Limited mode by default, even after resetting to default using the monitor's OSD. This can be fixed inside Nvidia/AMD/Intel Control Panel software. Nvidia Control Panel: Under Change resolution, set output dynamic range from limited to full AMD Control Panel: Under Pixel format, set from Limited RGB to Full RGB. Intel Control Panel: Under Quantization range, set to Full Range. Original review: If you just want a cheap monitor and price is more important than color accuracy then this is a definite buy for you. This monitor is IPS but not a good IPS. They advertise "ultra-wide" viewing angles but the viewing angles actually very narrow. So narrow that you must be sitting directly in front of the monitor and at least 3-4 feet from the monitor. Also, color accuracy is poor and colors are washed out, especially yellows, oranges, and some reds. Last but not least this monitor has horribly bright blacks. ... show more

  • Love it
Style: 27-Inch
Love this 27in LED monitor! Working great and looking great since first plugged in. This is my main monitor...center in a 3 monitor array..flanked by 2 Viewsonic 23in monitors. If the smaller ones go out, I'll replace with a 27 like this. Surely would buy again. Replaced am older LG LCD that quit. (Pics to show array...had to block the work out :-) ... show more

  • Nice monitor. But removing the foot stand so you can use a VESA mount is tricky but possible.
Style: 24-Inch
I don't play computer games so I can't say how it would work for games. But nothing stands out to make me think there would be an issue with gamers. The backlight duty cycle is fast enough that I cannot perceive any blinking. This monitor is a second monitor to my main much bigger display in Win 10. I use this monitor in a vertical position (requiring an external VESA desk top stand). I use it to display pages of PDFs, and various documents in portrait mode. And since the LCD is IPS the viewing angle is pretty good. Much better than the TN LCD monitor I am replacing. NOTE: The monitor comes with the foot stand attachment already attached. If you are going to use a VESA mount you will want to remove the foot stand mount. It requires removing one screw to start with BUT that's not all! It still won't simply slide out. You have to use a small screw driver to gently pry up and edge because the edge snaps over a plastic edge and is quite locked in place. You cannot get it out without using a small screw driver as a pry bar. They provide no instructions or pictures showing you how. Be careful not to struggle so much you break the glass of the monitor. Once I found the right position for my screwdriver it came out easily. But I spent about 45 minutes struggling with it. Viewsonic really needs some drawings and pictures and even a video showing exactly where to pry to get that foot stand mount off. It was so hard to get it off that I thought for a while it had been glued. Viewsonic even put a little piece of black tape on the thing so it would jam in even tighter adding to the difficulty of removing it. BTW, the monitor wobbles on the foot stand if that black tape is not in place so obviously they had to add that piece of tape after production started to fix that wobble. But I'm using the VESA mount so getting rid of the foot stand was my goal. ... show more
