The shelves look nice once put together, but it was not simple due to there being cracks and chips in the wood, holes not drilled, or misaligned, and missing threaded pieces for the screw bolts. Two out of my three shelves had serious issues that required drilling and careful handling to prevent worse cracks. There was only room for three photos, but I have more. I chose to do the extra work to build and keep them because they were in stock, are the right color, and a perfect fit for under the lip of our kitchen counter peninsula. ... show more

The shelf is sturdy and nice-looking, but there was nothing in the description I saw about assembly. Nor is the back of the shelf finished as depicted in the 360 photo. This is nice enough shelf and will serve my purpose, but if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't. Nor is it worth 200 bucks. If it were not for the trouble of packing it all up again, I just would have sent it back. ... show more

I love this great book shelf, but if I were not skilled in working with wood, I would have been forced to send it back. One of the pieces that connects the two sides at the top was not made correctly and the dowel pin could not be lined up because they had failed to drill two holes, one for the dowel and one for the securing screw on one end of one of the two top pieces. The product had about 200 screws , I could have gone to Ikea and picked one up for $40. I would not recommend this product.

The bookcase looks darker in reality than it does in the pictures. I wanted a honey-colored bookcase but it is a darker mid-brown.

    • Not exactly what it looks like!!!
For the price I expected a little better construction. Pieces were broken, drill holes started where no hardware went. Had to cut pieces off of a wooden spoon to use as the broken tenons. Not what I expected at all.

The bookcase isn't worth the price. Returned it and had to play significant shipping. Plus, the company's return policy says there's a "restocking" fee.
