  • Really great shoes, when they fit. Before you let that dissuade you, there are some things I need to point out...
Size: 9.5 - 10 US Color: Black
Firstly: I have unusually wide, thick feet, so most shoes don't fit right anyway. If you can comfortably wear a generic pair of shoes, these should fit very well. Secondly: I do not run, so I cannot say how well they work in that regard. I use them as daily shoes for walking and biking. Thirdly: These did not fit quite right, and I knew this when I bought them. But I came up with an easy fix that does not require modifying the shoes themselves. See SOLUTION TO EXCESS LENGTH below. When looking for a replacement pair of toe-shoes, the only variety I could find locally were thick and heavy (defeating the point of toe-shoes, personally), but it gave me an idea of the size I would need (43 was the narrowest I could fit). My previous pair of toe-shoes were only 3.5 millimeters thick, and these are at most 5 millimeters thick. I like the thin soles because they allow my feet to conform to the ground I'm walking on while protecting me from sharp rocks, wood slivers and broken glass. SOLUTION TO EXCESS LENGTH Addressing the fact that the shoes were technically a size too large, I bought a pair of thick insoles (cheap, generic Walmart foam arch supports, about $6), stood them upright in the back of the shoes, marked the highest point, then drew out a half-circle with a tea cup and proceeded to cut (scissors worked best, razors were hard to control while cutting a curved line). This created two "shims" that fill out the extra space, pushing my toes comfortably into the front of the shoe. I beveled the edges to the best of my ability and blackened the foam with a permanent marker. Putting on the shoes requires first putting a shim into the heel, folding that down, tucking my toes into the forward half of the shoe, then lifting the heel into place. Repeat for next foot. Takes about 10-20 seconds apiece after a few adjustments and a little practice. ... show more

  • Love the shoes.
Size: 9.5 - 10 US Color: Black
I am giving this a 5 star because I love the shoes. However. The right shoe is already coming apart and I have only had them for coming up on 2 weeks now. I wear them to work and around the house. That being said, I think I need a size bigger. That would be why my wide foot is busting the side already. I will buy a size larger when I get the money and then give a full review. Again, LOVE the shoes. Left one fits almost perfect. Right one was too tight. Ok. I can give a better review now that I have had these shoes for 2 months. Still absolutely love these shoes. However, I would suggest inspecting the shoes after you wear them. I work in an office so I am not an active person. Had no clue that there was a big hole in the inside of my right big toe. I have never had a shoe wear out so fast. Again, I sit down for a living. Both shoes are doing the same thing. That's all I can really say. ... show more

  • Tough to get used to but great
Size: 9.5 - 10 US Color: Black
Adjusting to the toe shoes was a little rough and they're very hard to get into at first. but they're the closest you can get to lifting barefoot in a public gym or being able to hike without shoes. Highly recommend. I also recommend you get toe socks to go with them or they will STINK bad.

  • LOVE these shoes, but... :(
Size: 9.5 - 10 US Color: Black
I've been wanting a pair of these shoes for years and I finally bought them! Nov 2, 2020 my first pair of KSO Evos arrived, my first pair of barefoot style shoes. They fit like a glove, totally comfortable, and I got to work right away on getting my feet adjusted to the new feel. They were the all the best things I'd read about online, but then... by Nov 14th, I noticed that they'd fallen apart --less than 2 weeks after they arrived. I'd read about this happening to some users, but now it was my case too. I wouldn't call my usage exactly heavy duty or anything extreme, especially since I was treating them somewhat lightly to allow my feet to adjust. I used them for probably about a half dozen walks in the park, albeit up and down steep dirt paths. I also tried running in them twice for about 3 to 4 miles all total running. I don't know why they fell apart so quickly although my guess is that some gravel bits may have gotten in and then just worked through the toe seems. I'll try another pair and update later. I REALLY hope the next pair hold up better because they feel great. I've never enjoyed running but these made it a completely different experience, like nothing I've felt before while running. ... show more

  • Want to try minimalist running? Use these!
Size: 9.5 - 10 US Color: Black
I've been slowly working up my mileage in these, and it's been great. My form is so much better now, I'm running faster and farther than I ever have before, and I've been injury free (which is rare for me) ever since I started using them. They naturally correct your stride by forcing you to land on your mid-foot, and I don't think the fact that I have flat feet has negatively impacted anything. I may not end up buying regular running shoes ever again, and honestly I don't even think I'll explore other minimalist options. These have been amazing. 100% recommend to literally anyone. The one caveat: don't go too far early on. If you haven't tried minimalist running or simply don't have great form, the adjustment to these (while healthy) will be hard on your calves. Start by running just a mile every now and then, then two or three, then five, then seven. Just don't rush things, or you run the risk of overworking your calves and maybe your arches. Gotta let your body adjust and adapt. ... show more
