VGR has done it again. I've gotten several of their products so far, and I've had great experiences with all of them. This 3-in-1 epilator is a neat package of handy tools for a ridiculously cheap price (currently $31). If you go with any of the big brands, you're going to be spending way more than this (some are up to $200), even without half of the features this has. The epilator head has 18 tweezers built in. That's not the widest head you can get, but at this price point (and with it being cordless and USB-C charging and waterproof and having additional accessories), it's totally reasonable. The only downside is that because it's not as wide as some of the more expensive epilators, it will take more passes to cover your shaving area. That's not a huge deal to me. Does the epilator hurt? Well, sure. Just like waxing or anything that yanks hairs out of your body hurts. But for the first time, I did a smallish patch and then took a break before continuing. After the first time, it hurts a little less, and lesser still as time goes on. That first time is a little rough but the result is worth it, IMO. If you wax, you can handle this for sure. And this leaves all of your skin attached to your body afterward, and you don't have a pile of messy wax and weird stick wax strands on everything in your bathroom afterward, so I'm a fan. The shaver and callus remover accessories are great. Sometimes I get a spot where my hairs are too fine to get effectively grabbed by the epilator, so I can follow up with a quick sweep of the razor. The callus remover also came in handy already. I do foot peels every so often, but not often enough to prevent a little callus buildup on my heel and the side of my big toe, apparently. I had just done a foot peel a week before but those areas didn't slough off enough, so I hit them quickly with the callus remover. Boom, done. At some point the callus remover will wear out, and I don't see replacement heads for it yet, but they will probably come out at some point in the future. Worst case, I'll just let this one run out and then it might be time to replace the epilator anyway. Who knows. I love having all of those pieces on one base, because I can take this with me on a longer trip and be able to manage all of those tasks with one device. I also like that it has a travel lock on it if you want to use it. When you receive it and try to turn it on, you push and hold the power button for the countdown. Then it will unlock so you can use it. It won't auto-lock, which I appreciate because that would be annoying every time, but if you ever want to lock it for travel, you can just hold the power button for the countdown again and it'll lock. This charges with USB-C and the battery lasts a very long time. I'm sure I could epilate my entire body at least a couple of times on one charge. They include a short charging cord but I'm sure nobody needs that given how many devices are now USB-C, so you can use any other cable you've got lying around. Take the charge cable with you on vacation if you want to, but I can't imagine you would need to if it had a full charge when you left. The only part about this that didn't totally meet expectations for me is the LED light. It's there, but it's not super bright, so I didn't feel like it provided any advantage at all in a regular daylight situation. I was kind of hoping it'd be like the Dyson green LED thing on their vacuums that lights up every bit of dust and hair so you can grab it more effectively, but it's just a regular little white LED. Maybe if your bathroom is super shadowy and dark, it would help. For me, in a regular light situation, I didn't think it really gave me anything additional. I don't care about that feature so much, and the other features are great, so I didn't dock any stars for that.

I got this for myself because I was tired of keeping several different grooming tools in my bathroom. I usually use it when I’m getting ready or doing my weekend self care. I use the epilator on my legs, grab the shaver head when I’m short on time, and use the callus remover when I’m taking care of my feet. Having everything together has made it much easier for me to reach for one device instead of searching for different ones. I was pleasantly surprised by how simple the attachments are to change. The skin stretcher cap and ball retainer have also been useful with the epilator, especially when I’m working around my legs and underarms. I normally start on the lower speed and switch to the higher setting when I feel like I need it. The built in light is one of those features I didn’t think I would care much about, but I find myself using it often because it helps me see finer hairs. I also like the LED display because I can quickly check the battery without having to guess. Since I use it in the bathroom, the waterproof design is a big plus for me. I can use it wet or dry, and rinsing the removable heads afterward makes cleaning up quick. The battery gives me about 60 minutes of cordless use, which is more than enough for what I normally do. I also appreciate the travel lock when I take it with me. It feels sturdy in my hand and has a quality feel that I wasn’t expecting from such a compact device.

The VGR 762 3 in 1 Hair epilator is such an affordable, pretty and perfect sized 3 in 1 set. It has a built-in light that isn’t really all that needed or that bright, but it’s nice. It comes with 3 detachable heads, an epilator, a shaving and a callus remover, and a couple of attachments for the epilator. They snap on and stay secure and are easy to clean. It charges with a USB-C charging cord and it’s waterproof. There’s also 2 adjustable speed settings and it has a travel lock so it won’t accidentally turn on in your bag. The epilator does pull hairs but I have used epilators before so it doesn't hurt for me, but I can feel it. So far it hasn’t caused any redness, irritation or ingrown hair bumps. The callus remover works well too, but I have a different tool for that so I don't think I'll use that attachment as much. This seems to be durable and solid and the battery seems to be strong enough to use for probably a week or so before I need to recharge it. It's easy to hold, fits comfortably in my hand and is pretty quiet for an electric epilator razor. It’s lightweight, yet solid, super affordable and I think it’s a good little shaver/epilator set for quick touch ups or when I travel or go camping.

I'm usually a little skeptical of small devices that try to combine several different functions because in my experience they often end up doing each job poorly. I was happy to be wrong about this one because the build quality is good and the different functions actually work. I mainly bought it for the epilator and shaver attachments since I already have a foot care device that I prefer for removing calluses. This was my first time using an epilator, and I won't pretend it was painless. The sensation felt like a bunch of tiny needle pricks happening very quickly, but it wasn't unbearable and I was able to push through it. I tested the epilator on the hair on my arm to see how well it would actually remove everything. Most of the hair was taken out, although I could tell that some strands had broken rather than being pulled completely from the root. I'm sure part of that has to do with me being new to epilating and still learning how to position and move the device properly. I also don't think an epilator will become my main hair removal method. Compared with using hair removal cream or waxing, the process takes me much longer, and I would need more practice to figure out the technique that works best for me. The shaver was much more familiar territory, and it performed like the other electric shavers I've used. It removed the hair from the areas I passed it over, and I didn't have to keep going back over the same spots repeatedly. I did test the callus remover as well, but I don't plan to use that attachment regularly. My main concern is that it can't be replaced once the abrasive part wears down, and I already have other foot care tools that I prefer using. I like having all three functions in one device, especially since the shaver and epilator both work well for what I need. The epilator will take some practice for me to use effectively, but the device itself has been much more capable than I expected from a small multi-use grooming tool.

The light is pathetic-does nothing, which is disappointing. Does a decent job on the legs and chin area. Does nicely on armpit and inner thigh (where skin is looser). That and the fact that it’s cordless is why I kept it.
