We've had to refill this twice and yet again, the outer covering seems "extra" like the inner tube must've lost air again. Not terribly so, but enough that you look at it twice. Otherwise, its sturdy where the handles are, the covering is tough. I've got large teenage boys using it hard & heavy on a small-ish lake with 50hp motor max (so we're not going very fast, but enough). If it can endure them, its pretty tough.
