This tenor saxophone is built perfectly! I was pleasantly surprised to see it on Amazon.com, because I had found it originally on Vever.com and was saving up to use their 4-payment system. Its a very good system through an independent finance company. That sets up payments set 2 weeks apart, (3 more payments after the initial payment). However, Amazon allowed a 5-MONTH payment setup,(once initially and 4 in 30 days.). THAT'S A 120 DAYS to pay for a saxophone that is worth twice of what you're paying! Is it really worth the money? The answer is absolutely YES! I HAVE PLAYED EVERY NOTE ON IT and they all play fine! It's playability is as GOOD as any! This saxophone's brass is heavy duty, professional feel, the the pads are perfectly in-line with each tone-hole, NO AIR LEAKS!! I know this because I've checked it using a LED pad leak checker (available also on amazon.com! It's good advice to do the same.). It is topped off with a brilliant gold finish beautifully buffed out to shine! I have other saxophones. Their build origins are no secret, but the are built perfectly. There is an alto offered by the same vender, also available through Amazon.com. I'm general, it takes a little more air pressure to play any Tenor, which is why many people start with an alto sax, but no worries because both are available at great prices on Amazon. Note - I took the advice of others and purchased a Yamaha 4C for each of these saxophones, but honestly the mouthpiece that comes WITH the saxophones are almost identical. I hope you enjoy the saxophones offered here at prices that are incredible and in 5 years you might give in to buying a big name sax, only to find this one is about the same build quality, as unbelievable as that sounds - it's true!
