I bought this portable cooler for my lunches at work. Instructions not clear. Insulation super itchy. Why does it use propane? Turns my food and silverware into molten metal and ashes in minutes. Makes a lot of noise and for some reason the safety man says I can’t use it on the job site. I dunno. The included soup bowl is a pain to wash. It’s always turning my dish rags black no matter how long I clean it. Ruined my dishwasher. NOT DISHWASHERS SAFE!!! Also it’s loud when on cooling cycle and it doesn’t cool. It’s easy to carry around with a hand handle for the lid and a port hole to check on your food on the top. Just don’t put your face near it while it’s running. You won’t have a beard or eyelashes. So far 10 seconds it the optimal time for food temperature control. 5 stars 10 out of 10 would recommend. Cheers

The worst thing was the tongs because they're to big for the 12kg crusible also you can't take out either of the crusibles with its shape. Overall it works great and gets super hot no problem. Just don't make the mistake I did use the 16kg crusible for copper not the 12kg crusible. The 12kg crusible is to small for this furnace and would not heat up to the required 1900°F needed to melt copper because the heat had a lot of room to escape out of the furnace. I think the 12kg crusible would be fine for aluminum since its melting point is only around 1200°F

This vevor gas metal melting furnace is a titan! Instructions and assembly are easy as heck, and its dual burners are crazy effective and the fact you can put it on its side and use it as a blacksmith forage is freaking awesome a good tool is a tool that has more than one use and this right hear has many!!!

It works as it should. Be aware that you need to purchase and apply a silica coating to the glass wool. Otherwise the wool pulls apart over time.

This product is downright dangerous! It should be removed from Amazon. They have the venturi correct and air mixture, although a larger pipe would suit it better, provide more power. The rest is garbage. The lid leaks flame out the sides due to the tabs holding the wool. They should be removed completely. The wooden handle is a dumb idea. The tang is not long enough and it didn’t take but 3 smelts for it to burn off. This thing will kill or seriously injure someone! The other trouble is the not fitting for the gas is not standardized. Most gas lines are flared compression fittings. It will leak without proper adapter. Some metric to standard . Absolute stupid engineering!

The furnace is a good design, heats good, quick and evenly. The most important thing besides having to replace the regulator because it is all one piece and have to buy the whole assy again, is the fact that there is nothing about prepping the insulation, thats allready a little light. I was not aware that it had to be treated with rigidizer, that must be done specifically... sprayed on, let dry a day, then heated a tad, and then a couple coats of refractory that has to be done the same and both are costly for a new guy. I burned the top of insulation thinning it out to 1/2 in after a couple smelts and the fire brick is inadequate as mine cracked under the crucible and caused the crucible to crack open and dump the load. I am rebuilding the whole thing with 2 1/2 in insulation with the rigidizer and refractory, but man this is a learning experience that could have been avoided if there were more to the instructions than how to turn the valve on. I contacted seller about the regulator several times and sent pics, but they wanted a video with sound and mine wouldn't upload so I just bought another one.
