I got this for my estate planning law office, as I need a lot of tabs for the estate planning binders. The shelves arrived later than expected, and there are not super easy to assemble, but once assembled are sturdy and work. I find the peg wholes a bit too big, so if you touch the shelves they will fall, so you can glue the pegs in or just be gentle with them. Overall, I like them.

I don’t usually write negative reviews but this one couldn’t slide, especially when I paid about $90.00 for something was cut wrong. I took the mailbox pieces out of the box and assembled as the booklet outlines. Unfortunately…the slots on the bottom of each shelf, that was cut for the metal pegs, was off by about an inch. A freaking inch. Every single shelf was cut this way (see photos). No matter how I turned the shelf, or put different shelves in different places, the problem was the same. The reason is because whoever cut that particular slot did it incorrectly. I also now can’t return the darn thing because the box is gone (I assembled it at my school I work at) and apparently that’s the only way to get a refund. Kind of frustrating since this is clearly a defective mailbox. Very annoyed.

At first when I opened the box I thought “well, it’s one of these”. It looks like it would be flimsy by the way it’s put together, I thought it’s just like most things nowadays, you put it together and can never move it again because it’s going to fall apart. I was surprised how rigid and how well it fit together. I must have moved it and carried it around 10 times before it got to it’s spot and it didn’t loosen up a bit. It’s perfect for what it is.
