Came about a week late and it has cracks in the ceramic insulation after using it once. I made sure to be gentle with it, I think the ceramic is just prone to cracking in the machine’s higher temperature ranges. It does melt aluminum like they said in the description, but it takes a bit longer to get hot enough and the pool cools off very fast when you go to pour (might be best to get something a little more powerful if you want to melt and cast metals with a melting point beyond 1900 degrees Fahrenheit). The crucible it came with held up well, you just have to heat them properly like the instructions say to. I’m sort of bummed, but maybe I just got a dud or the cracks are breaking the insulation barrier. Good luck in your furnace-hunting!

I liked the temperature controls. The furnace gained temperature quickly and could hold the temperature for as long as needed. Cracked on first fire, and the paint peeled off as well. Besides these two issues, it worked just fine once I repaired the cracks on the top of the furnace with high temperature cement. The outside of the furnace had no problem maintaining a cool temperature. I had a problem with the heating elements and reported it to Vevor, they were kind and attentive to my problems and provided me with replacement parts rather quickly at no cost. I was impressed

Crucible broke after first use. Doesn't get up to heat after second use.

I went to use my furnace today for about the 3rd time, and I went to turn the temp up about 860 degrees. The whole furnace short circuited, and I haven't been able to turn it on.

After using the smelter about 4 or 5 times the cylinder that sits inside the smelter broke and then 2 days later the 2nd one broke right in the same spot. Not to mention the graphite stir stick was in about 6 pieces from breaking off while stirring. You would think that for over $200 you wouldn't have that problem.

The power cord of the machine has caused significant issues. Firstly, it melted my switch, causing it to turn on and off intermittently. Now, the power cord has melted my extension cord, which was valued at$50. This makes it seem like there is something seriously wrong with the machine.
