We are using Mohawk flooring which is 10mm thick with a 2 mm pad. This cutter struggles with the horizontal cut (cut is not square). Since those cuts are under the quarter round it’s not a big deal. It will not make a lateral cut with this thickness. It feels like a good quality cutter I would just not recommend for these thicker flooring planks.

Upon opening the box I found what appeared to be a potentially good product. There were only a few items that needed assembly. There were no clear instructions on how to assemble the pieces. i.e. Use screw A to attach the support piece to the main cutter, etc. No close up pictures to show how/where to attach the accessories. The square tubing that is supposed to work as the alignment fence did not have holes drilled in the appropriate locations so it could be secured to the table to allow for cutting with any degree of accuracy. The main cutter housing was not level on the ground and wobbled more than I felt was acceptable. When I tried to check all the screws for tightness, several were already stripped. Most were on tight but several were barely finger tight. They didn't provide the correct size allen wrench to complete the assembly. I was able to find one at my house which isn't a big deal. However, it's just another example of so many things just not being correct. The support arm was a quarter inch lower than the base of the cutter which didn't help the wobble at all. The cutting blade is supposed to rest on a rubber piece that is held in place with a metal plate. The outer corner of the blade was off center and was already set in place and cutting into the metal plate. The instructions show the feed ramp with the angle mount closest to the blade but then shows it turned around and mounted the other way. Due to the square tubing/fence not having the correct holes drilled (several which were off center) it was out to know which way was correct. I contacted Vevor for assistance and they told me it could be one to two days to hear back from someone. At this point I'm going to return it. There are too many issues for me to feel like the whole thing is worth trying to repair on my own and have it function correctly. Maybe I got a damaged returned item or something? Very disappointing and it ruined a couple days of working on the floor.

After reading the reviews for this laminate cutter and its low price, I figured I would still try it and likely return it as not being up to the task of cutting LVP for a 1300 FT SQ flooring project in my rental. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. This cutter is a beast and cut LVP planks like paper. First thought after unboxing this thing was how this thing could only cost $40 and be so well built. This is not meant for cutting engineered wood flooring or hardwood - you will need a saw. If cutting LVP / SVP (vinyl / plastic plank flooring) - this cutter will save you a ton of time and not blowup your budget. Hands down....this is a 5 star product!!

I bought it for single use, then gave it away to someone that will need it this winter. The only thing I didn't like was it cracks the tiles at the end of the cuts on the side you don't need anyway, but you'd think the design could be made so it wouldn't at all.

Worked well for LVP flooring. Mine was the thicker flooring and it still cut it with alittle force. Though I think it would work better with a razor knife instead of a serrated blade.
