    • Good little kiln, improved thermocouple

Great kiln for someone who doesn't want to rework electricity in their house or shell out big bucks. I followed the schedule made by Huebner pottery to good results. Previously this kiln was reported to overheat, but the thermocouple has been improved. On old models 990c could get you cone 04, but on my first test I got an almost perfect 06. I increased the ramp to 1045c and got 50% of the way to 05, will continue testing but definitely more accurate than it used to be. Don't try to follow generic ramping schedules, this kiln needs a more unique approach due to its extremely quick heating and the proximity to the heating elements. Again, schedule made by Huebner pottery is definitely where you should start. Another quirk of this kiln is it will not ramp if you start at a temp higher than set for the group. Overall though good little kiln for the price! I never thought I'd be able to fire at home but this changes the game. ... show more

Trying to kill me? Ground wire broke off when i tried moving plugs. Came off so easy i didnt even know it broke off initially Cheap dangerous wiring

I have a really hard time with items exploading. I used the temp chart that came witb the kiln and there was an actual fire inside tbat charrex around tbe door. I then lowered tbe temp by 125 degrees c but still have explosions. I am starting to think I wasted $400. Some pottery items have been successful but putting in hard work to only have a big mess to clean up is very disappointing! ... show more

Second update cord just arrived today. However, I got no notification from The cellar that it was coming or that they'd even received my email.But it did arrive todayUPDATE one.....If you're wanting customer service, don't expect it with these guys IT'S BEEN OVER A MONTH WITH NO CORD AND ABSOLUTELY NO REACH OUT FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE.AFTER I EMAILED THEM ABOUT THE MISSING CORD........So far it's been pretty good.Does exactly what it says?It is a little confusing on the programming, but it takes a little bit and you'll get it.I had to contact the seller because when the package arrived.I did not get a cord.Fortunately it's the same kind of chord that my guitar bass amp uses for power. waiting on customer service to see what happens before giving a better review had the cord arrived with the kiln.I'd have given it five stars ... show more

It doesnt automatically ramp between programming holds. You need to go out there and manually adjust the burn out phases by changing the set temp. Save the money and get the regular one as its essentially the same leg work and gotta ****** be there and baby sit it.
