The furnace itself is not to bad, they should include Rigidizer. My Biggest gripe (and I expected it) is the regulator is not set up for the us made propane tanks. I had to change the brass fitting on the regulator to match the usa style tank.

The forge is exactly like the Devil Forge I currently own. I can see no physical differences in the smelter itself. There is a difference in regulator gauge (this one is more robust) and the pipe into the smelter. Just like with Devil Forge, you need to buy refractory cement to seal the wool so that it works at its maximum and also prevents you from breathing in fibers. I'm very happy!

I’m very disheartened. It appears this was an open box unit sold to me as new. Some of the parts were loose in the packaging, appears to have been just thrown back in the box to return. The hinge on the unit is defective. The manufacture sprayed the unit with a protective coat and apparently didn’t let it dry long enough before opening the lid. Then the paint on the hinge stuck when opening, pulling off the protective paint on the most wearable part, the hinge. As a result, the hinge is wobbly. This should have never left the manufacture. I suspect is why it was previously returned and will likely fall apart after just a few uses. To add to this, it appears to have a non-standard regulator for the USA. It does not fit a standard USA propane tank and should be clear in the add if sold in the USA. Also, whoever re-packaged the unit did a poor job. The instructions were all scrunched up into a ball, the crucible tongs were literally sticking out of the box because they were not secured. I will likely have to return.

East to set up if you know what you are doing.. my main concern is it didn't come with the plaster to coat the insulation or extra insulation to plug the burner hole. And the little mold the send is for like gold or something. What am I supposed to do with a 2 gram mold with a 10kg crucible???

The media could not be loaded. AWESOMENESS, great for the cost. Gloves were holy before even putting on. Gloves 😂 didn't not last but one time even before wearing them. So for anyone out there wanting to get into this just note that the furnace is good. You should always buy your own PPE Personal Protection Equipment.

The only complaint I have with this melting furnace is that the lining is not coated nor do they provide you with the material to coat it, Had they provided rigidizer and or refractory cement, I would give 5 stars across the board. You can obtain these through Amazon but plan on spending at least another $30. I suppose It might work without these items but I don't think it would last very long without them. I like the dual gauge propane regulator and for the price can't complain about the supplied tongs (you will probably want better lifting tongs eventually). The molds that come with it are pretty worthless (10 Kg crucible and a couple of ounce mold) but nice that they included something. Get you the molds you want and extra crucibles for each type of metal you want to melt and you will be set. Overall good for the money.
