I replaced a 20 year old 3/4hp motor with this. The older motor was not closed, and mud/dirt daubers would build in it. This motor was easy to wire, it is closed, and it gave me more lifting power.

A few things made me skeptical about buying this motor in the first place, namely that it's a vevor brand motor. However it seems to have the exact same design and dimensions as the motor available from Harbor Freight (same factory?) So figured it would be a decent budget motor. The wiring inside also made me skeptical since half of the wires looked new and unused while others were clearly twisted together in the past. Maybe this was a return or played with by QA team. I was happily surprised to put it together and see it purr to life. It's not noisy at all, given the RPM that makes sense. All in all I'm happy with it despite all the concerns I had.

This is the second one of these motors I purchased. The first went on a lazy Delta drill press and improved it dramatically. So I thought maby a new motor would help my lazy Delta table saw. What a difference!!!! This one hp motor is so much more powerful than the Delta one hp motor. I am ripping 5/4 one hundred year old barn woon that is tough as nails and now I can feed it in so fast and it just takes it as fast as I can feed it.

It's only been a few days since I received the motor and it makes me feel terrible! When I opened the motor with great joy, I found that the shaft of the motor was poorly made. It's not smooth at all. I cut my finger while installing it. And the motor had been running for two days and was smoking. I cut off the power and found a professional electrician to check. Although it was not expensive, I wanted to find out the reason. Taking apart the motor, I felt even worse. The electrician said that the coils were irregular and messy, causing the motor to short circuit and smoke. This motor is bad, very bad!!!

When I took it out of the box I noticed that the mounting bracket had scratches on the bottom, then when I opened the connection box, some of the wire strands iofthe wires were fanned and not twisted. The wires that were supposed to be factory connected, weren't. The motor works fine after I figured out the Chinese electrical meanings. I hope it lasts.

my original exhaust fan motor started sounding stressed, then in just wouldn't spin, I found this, the specs were comparable, so I got it, somehow there was a mix up with shipping, but the seller was able to get another shipped fast, Im not too savvy when it comes to wiring, so i found a tube video and it helped out big time, however the motor did come with instructions, so the video plus booklet together helped me understand what I was doing, super fast start up compared to my old motor, sounds strong, hopfully it lasts longer than my original!
