This canopy was the final piece to complete my Princess bedroom. I bought a different hook to use in the ceiling, but I’m sure the one that came with it would have worked. I absolutely adore it and I’ve had it for around a month as of this review. I will definitely be buying more for my daughter’s rooms, and would recommend these. They are heavy material, and seem to be fairly well-made.

I do love that it is thick, but the ribbon that holds the canopy to the ceiling look like they may fail soon. They’re just thin and one has already kind of stretched. In all, cute find.

I'm satisfied with this purchase. It's large with a lot of material, so the price is fairly justified. It's not very apparent in the pictures, but the top of the canopy is indeed closed over with fabric. The ring which holds the canopy open is metallic. It's sort of like those pop-up tents which can be twisted to collapse in on itself and springs back into shape when released. The straps used to hang it are sewn into the seams and are sturdy enough to hold it, but I would imagine they may need some reinforcement over time under constant weight and tension. It would be easy enough to replace them with light chains (like for hanging plants) wrapping around the metal frame for a more secure installation. We wanted it to create a sort of private mediation/reading nook and it'll work nicely for that. The inner opaque material is thick enough to provide some privacy, but still allows enough light in that it's not overly isolating. I personally could have done without the frilly-edged lace outer layer, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the target demographic for such a thing. It would be easy enough to cut all that off if you just wanted the sheer inner layer, but it's not too noticeable in the black version. They ship it with some kind of big, white, ugly, plastic adhesive hook with two pieces of cheap foam double-sided tape that I can't imagine anyone would want to actually adhere to their ceilings. It would only end up ripping the paint off. It just makes me sad these folks feel they have to include such a thing since it only adds to the cost but will most likely get thrown away by the vast majority of customers. I'd recommend using an actual threaded hook into a rafter or a molly bolt/drywall anchor if it's something you plan to leave up for a long time.

Obsessed! like the other reviews say, however, the adhesive hook they give you will not hold it up. You can tell by the quality. I used a heavier duty hook and it’s working like a champ! The net is pretty heavy and the straps that they hang by are pretty long, so in this photo I had to tie them in a knot to make it sit closer to the ceiling and not drag too badly on the floor. My bed is queen size and this thing could easily cover a king size as well. I wake up feeling like a dark princess because it blocks a lot of light out around me. Just a really cool piece to add to my room!

Had this for a year now and the sticky piece attachment has just now come undone, but that’s no issue because we got a new sticky piece and will get another year of it hopefully! My girl was 4 (she’s 5 now) when we purchased but we use it as a book nook at the foot of her bed next to her book shelf. We put little string lights on the top and a fluffy rug and matching fluffy pillow in there for her. She is still obsessed with it and uses/plays in it daily! She is a rough and wild one and I’m honestly genuinely impressed at how well this thing has held up. It has zero flaws and it’s like it’s brand new still. (I figured the white sheer piece would be cheap and tear after a while) but it looks brand new as well. No tears or loose strings and it gets pulled on and hid it etc. Update: 2 years in and it finally fell LOL honestly very pleased with how long it lasted! Could’ve lasted longer if my daughter didn’t tug on it going in and out. It’s still up, it’s just up with a screw now! This has been a great product
